Yo people, I am also a moron and didnt really look into restaurants before I came out here. Soo, that said, I need some recommendations. Don't mind spending a bit for something nice. Heard good things about the Slanted Door but of course, there are no reservations. Any advice would be most apprecaited.

The Cliff House is beautiful, especially for dinner. Can be touristy, but it doesn't matter. I go to the bar upstairs for cocktails at sunset, since it is my hood.

SF is full of amazing restaurants. Slanted Door is excellent, if you are here during weekdays, you could always check out lunch. there usually isn't a wait. Charles Phan has several restaurants in the city, so you could always try one of those.

Italian- Da Flora in North Beach. The owner is number one in wine pairing, she has a great selection, and the sweet potato gnocci is apparantly to die for. I don't eat pasta, so I couldn't tell you.

I'm happy to help with other recommendations if you are looking for something in particular.

    Gotta love Matt Cain.

We don't live in SF, but as for restaurants - Cliff House is great. One weekend we only went to restaurants with numbers in them so we like Coco 500, Fifth Floor, and 54 Mint. There are so many great restaurants here, I love this city.

  • Panda needs a clinic on fielding fundamentals. Some of the shit he's done the last few games is ridiculous.

That game wasn't fun to listen to (we were driving back to LA from SF). Where was the offense? It was great to see the Giants live and see Matt Cain pitch so damn well. It's a bummer about Brian Wilson (not our dog), but I'm still trying to stay positive about this season.

'Closer by committee' really is a bit nerve racking though...

Losing Wilson is a tough break. I'm sure the Diamondbacks were happy to hear Bochy say they're going to have to go the closer by committee route. I'm sure if things do go well they'll look into a trade for someone like Broxton, but it could be tough sincethere have already been a few teams that expect to contend that have had their closers go down already.

whoever it is.....fuck a bunch of "closer by committee......just pick someone.

as someone in the Phillies thread likes to point out, closers are overrated.....you're given the ball with a lead...get three outs without giving up one or two or three runs.

Bumgarner signed a 5-year deal for $35 million plus 2 team options, meaning if her performs well enough for the team to exercise his options he won't hit free agency until after the 2019 season. It eat up his first year of free agency and possibly his 2nd and 3rd if the options are exercised.
  • Time to worry about Timmy? He's just missing some of those pitches and guys are jumping all over him.

Crawford continues to play in full beast mode on defense!
