Deep vs. 1/2 Full vs. Red Mosquito

None of these songs really have anything to do with each other, except for the fact that they really get the blood flowin'. So which one does it the best for you?

1/2 Full.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
Butthead: Huh huh.

I think Deep and 1/2 Full (and Rival, for that matter) have great funky syncopated rhythms to them. Red Mosquito sort of doesn't fit in with the other two in that regard - Rival is probably a better fit. So I'm gonna throw that one out for my own purposes - I love the song, but it doesn't really fit with the other two.

Between Deep and 1/2 Full, I guess I prefer Deep (but I love both, to be honest). I like songs that make me feel like the band is right on the edge, bumping up against batshit crazy out-of-control...and Deep makes me feel that way.
  • Red mosquito is absolutely the best of the 3. No code doesn't get enough props. Great cd!

Red Mosquito above any, regardless the lyric, best PJ tune ever... Half full it's the same to me, great tune, my fav from Riot Act... then Deep, one that belongs to my average list...
... I am not in the business of being liked anymore ...

and love ..... wish the world would go again with love , one cant seem to have enough.........
  • I definitely can't choose between these three. They all hold different meaning for different times in my life. Deep is soo special to me coz it was one of my first fave songs when I started getting into the band. No code is up there as a fave album and Red Mosquito is a goosebumps song. 1/2 Full is a really special song coz the lyrics mean so much to me. Can't decide at all. I love all three! :)

    Red Mosquito, live.

Now which do you like better? The live version with Ben Harper or the live version with out Benny Harper :D I used to not like Ben when he would join in. But now as he has done it more and more I think they have fine tuned it and It has grown on me.

Hmmmm...I love Ben Harper, but I think I still prefer it without. I love the Live On Two Legs version. I actually didn't like the song much until I heard it live, but I love it either way now. It's one of their best live songs I think.. 8-)
