Into the Wild Vinyl Question
I have the original ITW vinyl that I purchased from Aural Exploits. Due to the packaging the vinyl had some give and floated through the top of the card board packaging. So there's tear/hole in the top of the artwork.
I was at the local record store the other day and saw the re-issue. It always bugs me to see the tear on my album cover. Is there much a difference in the sound quality of the re-issue? From what I understand the artwork was recreated very well. I suppose if the Sound Quality isn't as good, I could just take my records from the original issue and put them in the re-issue packaging
My goal was to buy the reissue and use the sell of the original proceeds against the cost.

The only thing that I know about the reissue is that it has a barcode on it, while the original does not.
There may be other differences, but Im not sure. Im sure the catalog numbers would be different also.
I think the sound quality is the same, but the matrix numbers on the vinyl would be different.
Edit**After looking on PJCollectors.com
Original - USA VFR-2007-4
Re-issue - Europe MOVLP166
These listings would be on the vinyl as well as the cover.
So If you swapped them, they wouldnt match....but I dont know how much u care about matching vinyl with cover.Post edited by MedozK on0 -

Sorry if this question is redundant, I searched the forum and didnt see anything.
I just stopped on my lunch break at Vintage Vinyl in Fords, NJ and found a brand new sealed copy of ITW on green vinyl.
It lists No More and No More Live as bonus tracks but i'm assuming they are on a 45 inside, and not on the actual LP.
Does anyone know if this is an original pressing or a reissue? Or how to tell? It has no bar code on the back as stated in a previous post.0 -

Sounds like its a bootleg. I have the orignal, and they were released on black vinyl, same with the reissue. The original also has the No More 7" included. I've heard of orange bootlegs, but this is the first I've heard of a green one.0 -
Still have un opened ITW original pressing......did the value plumet when re-issue was put out? Yeah, there's no way that was an official release. That listing sounds like the No More tracks are included right on the 12" record and not on a bonus 7"0 -

Yes. Many just want to hear the album on vinyl and don't care about collectability, so naturally the value decreased when the reissue occured as there were plenty of copies available.0 -

A good friend of mine just picked this up for me while he was in the UK. Both the No More tracks are on the LP, no 7" included. I am pretty sure it is a bootleg but it sounds awesome just the same.He who forgets will be destined to remember.

so i decided to open it and yes the bonus tracks are indeed on the actual LP. No More is at the end of Side A after the humming version of Guaranteed and the live No More at the end of side B (which is kind of weird).
Oh well I'll play it and see how it sounds and hopefully i'll get my hands on a real copy one day0 -

Yeah I've got an unopened one that's flawless. Yes they're meant to be played but there's what 900 of these in existance? Just as a fan i don't want to touch it. I don't think I'll ever sell it0 -
Sorry for thread-digging, but I just ordered a re-issue...and I'm pretty damn excited to get it and spin it

I also got the original from Aural Exploits with a tear in the cover where the record cut through in the shipping process. I contacted them and they sent me a new cover and sleeve less the record. I framed the damaged one in an album cover frame and hung it on the wall. All the rusted signs we ignore throughout our lives,.....choosing the shiny ones instead,......0

I wish I'd thought of that. It never occured to me that they would have spare covers.0
