    Strange thread.

Agree (and disagree) with some points, and aside from the spats - or even with - some really good food for thought here. For me.

    So thanks.

pandora, gotta ask...was your remark sarcastic?
nope ... I don't do sarcasm at least not well ... that's why I thought we were buds all these years

I hope nobody gets banned here ... I really like these people

step back from the keyboard ;)
I'm confused...unless we've come in contact before, I don't know you and have only interacted with you here since I re-joined in January.

    Buds all these years?

    Step back?

You lost me and that last remark is, frankly, insulting.

Feel free to pm me, as I don't want to fuck up this thread.
not talking to you ... I was speaking to the people not getting along in the thread
they could step back as to cool down :?

I meant the US and Israel allies/buds all these years

nothing personal towards you just explaining and answering your question

figure I do it in the open so everyone knows the deal

Russians seem right on this one...

    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/russia-di ... d-year-end

In what can only be seen as raising the rhetoric bar on the timing, scale, and seriousness of the Iran 'situation', Kommersant is reporting that "Tehran has one last chance" as US Secretary of State Clinton asks her Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov to relay the message to Iranian leaders. If this 'last chance' is wasted an attack will happen in months as diplomats noted that the probability of an Israel/US attack on Iran is now a specific 'when' instead of an indefinite 'if'. The sentiment is best summarized by a quote from inside the meeting "The invasion will happen before year’s end. The Israelis are de facto blackmailing Obama. They’ve put him in this interesting position – either he supports the war or loses the support of the Jewish lobby". Russian diplomats, as Russia Today points out, criticized the 'last chance' rhetoric as unprofessional suggesting "those tempted to use military force should restrain themselves - a war will not solve any problems, but create a million new ones."

I'm not sure your link is so trustworthy. It has the whole 'cataclysm' vibe to it and you've posted iffy links to this Tyler guy who now looks more like Fight Club Brad Pitt and can also translate Russian.

I remember when a person would get laughed out of the room if they cited a Russian newspaper as their source. Has that changed?

Nice tone... Good to see you never get tired of talking down your nose to people.

    Informed is an overstatement.

    Pompous is an understatement.

either way, your posts have devolved recently... are you on drugs?

worried about you... for a fleeting moment... and its gone.

Might be time to change your screen name again.

Wow. This thread is really circling the drain, now. What's the over/under for the lock?

Personally, I think most people who are against an Israeli-attack probably harbor a deep-seeded prejudice against Jews...

Ah, I get it: Opposing a military attack upon a sovereign nation, that has not itself attacked anyone in 300 years, constitutes anti-Semitism?

Im just a grunt that kills people for a living

Yep, that sure sounds like something a genuine serviceman would say on a public message board.

I remember he was a military family is all... quite distraught over being treated badly here
on one occasion in particular ... people can be thoughtless and cruel

I started posting on the boards in 2006.

I do remember a journalist in Iraq coming on here briefly in 2006 and asking me if I wanted to go to Iraq with him. He sent me a few e-mails about it. I may still have them somewhere. I was half-tempted to go - sounded more appealing than my boring office job at the time.

I wonder how that would have turned out?

You guys can't even read properly. Sarcasm regarding an asinine post from another member.

You have your bullshit radar hooked up to your computer screen? haha.

Ya, I currently serve- and you don't have to search for long on this crazy-train to see how many of you feel about American troops: rapists, murderers, terrorists, "grunts that kill people", etc.
