Replacing a single coil Telecaster pickup with a P-90

So the title says it all guys. I really wanna begin to learn how to do this shit. I dont want to spend $100 if its not the hard to accomplish. SO is it difficult to take out the single coil and sodder on the P-90?

Soldering is easy, routing the body and the pickguard is not assuming the body doesn't already have a route big enough to accomodate a P90.
