I can't help thinking the PJ21 tshirt has more to it than an EV tour of Europe. Could be wishful thinking. I never thought when I left work yesterday that I would be looking forward to Monday or Tuesday!
    Be kind whenever possible.
    It is always possible.

I'm really hoping it's for an EV Europe tour!

    You may be right.

My gut is telling me that PJ21 is going to be at Alpine Valley, again over labor day weekend. They will announce this first because they have probably known about it for quite some time...heck, they already have the PJ21 shirts in the goods section and we've heard a ton of rumors for awhile now that PJ has a multi-year deal with Alpine. It would make sense, too. Remember how much they shopped around for a location for PJ20 so they could get as much control over the situation as they could (ie: ticket allotment, setup, events etc)? Part of that deal was probably contingent upon PJ playing there for a few years...had to give to get.

A single tweet means a single show announcement (or weekend)...I doubt it will be EV in Europe without any clue of that whatsoever in the tweet. 10c would just be welcoming a whole slew of negativity if this announcement doesnt involve the US at all IMO.

They love to generate the buzz over a single show or festival to drive up sales, then later theyll announce the shows in your backyard ;) It's far too early for them to announce a full leg of shows here in the US, but I'm confident that will happen as well - probably in May sometime.

But aren't they connected with the Olympic arts and culture celebration festival? I doubt Ed would be. Later in August would be past the closing ceremony and before the paralympics begin...
I reckon it's either a weekend thing in the US or EV in Europe - But it's all myth and rumour til we have a proper announcement.

That would be weird cause has Pearl Jam ever played the same arena the following year on the same weekend? I don't think they ever did.

I'm hoping they give us west coasters and Seattlites a treat by doing a Gorge weekend sometime in August instead of Alpine Valley again. Unfortunately Dave Matthews Band has Labor Day Weekend locked up at the Gorge :(

No idea, but so what? Did they ever create their own "festival" weekend before last summer? They put in a lot of extra work in finding a place that pleased them for such an event, so maybe they had to make concessions in order to make it happen how they wanted to. Or maybe they just liked the idea. Who knows if it will be labor day weekend, but I think PJ21 merchandise is a pretty telling piece of evidence to support that theory, especially among numerous other rumors saying Alpine will happen again (including from the venue staff)

I'm confident they will tour this fall in the US...but I also think PJ doesn't announce legs of their tours this far in advance for US shows. Although they would if it were a festival where they would be forced to, or if it was a deal they already had done (ie: Alpine) and they want to hype it up as a special weekend again, then later dropping legs of a US Tour. I'm just going based on how they have liked to announce their tours since 2007, and I don't expect a big change from that style. I would put my money on EV in Europe for this tweet before I would bet on it being a full leg or two of US shows...but I hope I'm wrong about that! God, how great would it be to get all the tour dates about half a year in advance like the Europeans get?

They wouldn't be so cruel as to announce something other than a US tour given that it will be OVER 2 years, would they? (yadda yadda, Alpine, yadda....sorry all of us aren't wealthy).
