What with all these anxiety-inducing tweets this year, I fear I may be developing stress-incontinence at the ripe old age of 28.
You guys are killing me!!

But it's probably something stupid like Ed playing Canada!
Ed playing Canada is not stupid, except I just dropped a lot of money so we can see him in Vegas.....Vancouver May 04-24

Their touring habits seem to indicate they only care to be relevant in certain parts of the US at this point. The South gets no shows for years and now even if they did I doubt the interest would be enough to fill arena size venues. Things out West are getting nearly as bad. Phoenix, Las Vegas to name a few haven't gotten shows in years. Even Northern California has gotten forgotten and we've always supported the band in a big way. Other than 30 minute Bridge School shows and Outside Lands we haven't had a real show since '06. Sacramento hasn't had a show in 12 years and at this point I doubt they could even fill a 5,000 seat venue in that town. For me this is a big year for the band, do they want to keep playing the same 15 cities over and over or do they want to show some respect to loyal fans in the rest of the country. I've spent the past 10 years chasing the band around the country, it's been a blast. But I'm older, have a family and would just like to know I might get a show once every 5 years in my area. Which shouldn't be asking for much living in an area as big as Northern California. I really think they're slipping into that stage where they are considered a classic, nostalgia act. I guess it was inevitable but it still sucks. With more considerate touring habits and a little more time in the studio it could have been different. When you release an album once every 5 years and skip major US cities for a decade it's almost impossible to stay relevant. Here's to hoping this is a tour announcement for shows in the South and West. If it's more Northeast or Ed shows a lot of people will be bummed.06/22/95, 11/04/95, 11/15/97, 07/16/98, 10/30/99, 10/30/00, 10/31/00, 10/20/01, 10/21/01, 12/08/02, 06/01/03, 06/06/03, 10/25/03, 10/26/03, 09/28/04, 03/18/05, 09/01/05, 07/15/06, 07/16/06, 07/18/06, 07/22/06, 07/23/06, 10/21/06, 10/22/06, 08/28/09, 09/21/09, 09/22/09, 05/20/10, 05/21/10, 10/24/10, 11/26/13, 12/06/13, 06/28/14, 10/26/14, 07/10/18, 08/10/18, 10/02/21,0

Let's have PJ21 at the Gorge.

But for my bank account's and my relationship's sake, I really hope its just an Ed solo tour announcement. I need a little more time to recover before I can plan for more concerts.Member Number: 437xxx

I can't help thinking the PJ21 tshirt has more to it than an EV tour of Europe. Could be wishful thinking. I never thought when I left work yesterday that I would be looking forward to Monday or Tuesday!Be kind whenever possible.
It is always possible.0 -

I'm really hoping it's for an EV Europe tour!
You may be right. :thumbup:0 -
My gut is telling me that PJ21 is going to be at Alpine Valley, again over labor day weekend. They will announce this first because they have probably known about it for quite some time...heck, they already have the PJ21 shirts in the goods section and we've heard a ton of rumors for awhile now that PJ has a multi-year deal with Alpine. It would make sense, too. Remember how much they shopped around for a location for PJ20 so they could get as much control over the situation as they could (ie: ticket allotment, setup, events etc)? Part of that deal was probably contingent upon PJ playing there for a few years...had to give to get.
A single tweet means a single show announcement (or weekend)...I doubt it will be EV in Europe without any clue of that whatsoever in the tweet. 10c would just be welcoming a whole slew of negativity if this announcement doesnt involve the US at all IMO.
They love to generate the buzz over a single show or festival to drive up sales, then later theyll announce the shows in your backyard
It's far too early for them to announce a full leg of shows here in the US, but I'm confident that will happen as well - probably in May sometime. 0 -

But aren't they connected with the Olympic arts and culture celebration festival? I doubt Ed would be. Later in August would be past the closing ceremony and before the paralympics begin...
I reckon it's either a weekend thing in the US or EV in Europe - But it's all myth and rumour til we have a proper announcement.2009 - Manchester. 2010 - Dublin, Belfast, London, Berlin, Arras, Werchter. 2011 - PJ20 i & ii, Montreal, Toronto i & ii, Ottawa, Hamilton.

That would be weird cause has Pearl Jam ever played the same arena the following year on the same weekend? I don't think they ever did.0 -
