    Hmmmm
How are they going to finish the new record with all those shows?
I didnt think we would see a real US "tour" until a new record is released.

I really hope its not another destination weekend. Can I please just get a regular old PJ show on the east coast!

Seeing the tweet made my day, and I like the way you think. It'd be great to have another Alpine weekend.

Well if I can throw my two cents in here, this is what I think:

First of all, there's no way it's anything that has to do with merch. The 10c has never "tweeted" about memberships being up to date for a merchandise sale. I really doubt they'd start now. it's definitely show(s) of some sort.

Secondly, there are too many people on here before every US tour that know a sister's boyfriend's buddies dad's dentist's friend who knows about a PJ announcement coming next week on some radio station. There hasn't been any of that so far (with the exception of one or two threads) so it's doubtful it's anything in the states.

My (un)educated guess is EV in Europe. it's the only spot he hasn't gone yet.

My wallet is also hoping it's EV in Europe. Anything close to here and I'm going to be in trouble.

Also, recently, when they've said "Have your membership up to date by Sunday" doesn't everyone manically refresh the site all day Monday only to be told what the news is on Tuesday? I tihnk that's been the norm the last few times. Could be wrong.

This seems the strongest possibility. I could see a west coast/ Hawaii tour then put out new album followed by spring/summer northeast/ Midwest tour. By looking at last 5-6 years this could be the way they go. Anyway, it's exciting to think about the possibilities.

Is there no way to access the old tweets? I remember it always having some sort of clue if it wasn't US dates and also that they always say have a nice weekend or nice day at the end but I wish we could check to make sure.

We can. This was the last tweet for EV solo in the US. Almost the exact same words as in this tweet.

I'm really hoping it's for an EV Europe tour!

What with all these anxiety-inducing tweets this year, I fear I may be developing stress-incontinence at the ripe old age of 28.

You guys are killing me!! :D

But it's probably something stupid like Ed playing Canada!

Ed playing Canada is not stupid, except I just dropped a lot of money so we can see him in Vegas.....

Their touring habits seem to indicate they only care to be relevant in certain parts of the US at this point. The South gets no shows for years and now even if they did I doubt the interest would be enough to fill arena size venues. Things out West are getting nearly as bad. Phoenix, Las Vegas to name a few haven't gotten shows in years. Even Northern California has gotten forgotten and we've always supported the band in a big way. Other than 30 minute Bridge School shows and Outside Lands we haven't had a real show since '06. Sacramento hasn't had a show in 12 years and at this point I doubt they could even fill a 5,000 seat venue in that town. For me this is a big year for the band, do they want to keep playing the same 15 cities over and over or do they want to show some respect to loyal fans in the rest of the country. I've spent the past 10 years chasing the band around the country, it's been a blast. But I'm older, have a family and would just like to know I might get a show once every 5 years in my area. Which shouldn't be asking for much living in an area as big as Northern California. I really think they're slipping into that stage where they are considered a classic, nostalgia act. I guess it was inevitable but it still sucks. With more considerate touring habits and a little more time in the studio it could have been different. When you release an album once every 5 years and skip major US cities for a decade it's almost impossible to stay relevant. Here's to hoping this is a tour announcement for shows in the South and West. If it's more Northeast or Ed shows a lot of people will be bummed.

    Let's have PJ21 at the Gorge. :D

But for my bank account's and my relationship's sake, I really hope its just an Ed solo tour announcement. I need a little more time to recover before I can plan for more concerts.
