I really dig these guys alot, but have never had the chance to see them. They are kindof local since they are from Austin. They are gonna play at the Granada in Dallas so I'll finally get my chance
. Who's coming with me?

I have a few of their records and I really like them.. I have to give them a few more spins though...they get lost in the piles of CDs for some reason :?
I think they did the Stranger than Fiction soundtrack, no? Good stuff.
I did get a chance to see them live in Ft.Lauderdale once, and they were very good.Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)0 -
we'll definitely be there, man! been a couple of years since we saw them & they put on a great show. 8-)I LOVE MUSIC.

What an incredible band! I just love them. Saw them at Radio City Music Hall in 2010, had an awesome time. Was probably one of the loudest shows I've ever been at, too."Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."

The actually don't live here in Austin anymore, @ least Brett doesn't, he live in Portland, Or. I think they are real good, I wish they would play around here more like before.

I love Spoon. I've still never seen them either, even though they play Portland all the time. Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is a masterpiece. I wish I could go to that show!Rose Garden Arena - Nov 02, 2000, Key Arena - Oct 22, 2001, Key Arena - Dec 08, 2002, Key Arena - Dec 09, 2002, Clark County Amphitheater - Sep 26, 20090

Thanks Matt & to the curlygirly9- I can't wait for this, I feel all the albums are great but Transference is their masterpiece to me. My only issue is that 5 buds wanted to go but waited to long and it soldout in less than an hour
. Oh well I'll be dancing & singing along to the underdog alone if they don't get in

Spoon Masterpiece: Gimme Fiction
I've never seen them, either. I almost saw them on new year's eve a few years ago, but the pans fell through.
They're near the top of my list of favorite bands I've never seen live. Also on that list: NOFX, Radiohead (but I'll be seeing them this June).0 -
I think it's safe to say that all their albums are great
. The funny thing about the three albums we love the most is that none of those even have my two favorite Spoon songs on them. My fav tunes are Everything Hits At Once & The Fitted Shirt

I'm not too familiar with them, but have always liked songs of theirs that popped up on Pandora. I've been listening to more of their stuff lately and I like it. I was thinking about going to the Dallas show, but I waited too long to purchase tickets and it sold out. A local record store and the venue htey are playing sometimes have giveaways for sold out shows, so I'll be on the lookout.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0

I've got the last 4 albums, fucking love them. I've missed out the past couple shows so I've never seen them. Hopefully tour soon!0

Love-no, like-yes. They're a good solid band. I only have from Kill The Moonlight and on, but didn't really get into them until Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga. Saw them once in 2010. They were good. Only problem though was that they were opening up for the Arcade Fire which were great
