A telemarketer called today, asking for the person in charge of the gas bill. I said "He's not home right now." They asked "When can he be reached?" I said "Call back on Sunday...at midnight."

Oh I have tons of people that wanna go, but they're spread out across the country and can't come on such a short notice. I know I can sell it outside the venue if it comes down to that though...Although I did have pit tickets for them at a sold out show in MD this summer and couldn't sell my extra for under face.... :? When it started pouring insanely hard I'm sure those lawn people who declined were kicking themselves though :PAyedavanita wrote:Jnich2424 wrote:While I'm happy for my buddy on getting a new job, I'm pissed that he has to start right away and therefore screw me over on the Nashville trip this weekend. So now I have an extra ticket to the Mumford and Sons show Thursday, and an extra for the show at the Grand Ole Opry Saturday as well...ugh.
OMG!!! I would LOVE to go to that!! I'm sure you won't have a problem finding someone to go with you, they are AMAZING!
I would love to see Mumford adn Sons. I"m so pissed they aren't doing anything in the Chicago area. One day I guess.0 -

How yesterday I saw an older lady 70ish wearing those leotard tights and some vintage hightop black Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers. They caught my eye and i complimented her on them...she was flattered then went on to tell she wore them because she hurt her ankle and that her daughter didn't like them. This turned into a 5 minute conversation at a mall stop sign.
I told her wore the same as a younster in Boston in the early 70's...hers though was doubled laced and she bought them from Marshall's for $30 mine in the 70's $8.50-$9.50
She loved her sneakers...I said goodbye with a wink she blew me a kiss...made my day.

Should not have gotten a C on a test I just got back. I've attended every lecture, done all the assignments and readings, but just second guessed myself on parts of this test. SO FRUSTRATING!"Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."

So sorry, that bites. I used to always hear 'go with your first answer'....I learned in latter biology classes that this theory is faulty.

Definitely doesn't work in all cases! But definitely upset over this. And not something that I can argue for points back, either. Going to talk to my professor anyway, see if there is any way I can scrounge up some points and let her know that I care about wanting to do well.
