Spybot is good, I've started using http://www.malwarebytes.org/ after I got Win 7 - superb both free and with a license.Have fun, walk hard and stay alive.0

okay i downloaded spybot and ran the scan, and i have some threats, i can't get rid of them unless i buy the product, but i read somewhere, you can remove them manually if your computer savy, any help please.Glasgow cathouse-1992-2-23, San diego sports arena-1995-11-06 & 07, Glasgow secc-2000-06-03, Tampa st petes times forum-2003-04-13, London O2 arena-2009-08-18, Belfast odyssey arena-2010-06-23.Leeds 2014 - 07-080

I'm not the most computer savy but for windows users out there be careful of the automatic updates/downloads when you shut down. One evening shut down computer, updates ran and next morning computer was shot, couldn't get windows to even load. I recommend turning off auto updates.0

Malwarebyte's always cleans infected computers where ever I have installed it, and that's the free version. Otherwise you might want to get your virusscanner - be it Norton, avast, avg or what ever to get rid of that threat you're dealing with. It might be because it's infected a program in use when you use the removal-software, or it's a nasty bugger.
When ever I've dealt with nasty buggers I've booted in failsafe mode, disconnected from the interweb and run Malwarebyte's program. Granted I have a license but that only grants me online warnings and spammail removal, so the free version should be able to do the trick.
And by the way - I am not 'computer savy' so someone wiser than me might know more and or prove me wrong.Have fun, walk hard and stay alive.0 -
AVG 2012 gets good reviews for it's free version. You can find it at Cnet.com
I'm not totally sure if it removes the trojans though. I'll get a warning box, then click for AVG to repiar the situation, which it suppossedly does.... however the warning prompt re-appears almost daily.0 -
