I thought it was weird that nothing was posted anywhere either...no posters, no marquee, and the website has a list of events that hasn't been updated since the end of last year. Was a beautiful venue, but if they don't care about promoting it, it makes it an odd place to have a show
The crazy thing about it is that I don't mind paying what I paid for the tickets, its that after how crazy the initial rush was, I can't even begin to get rid of my extra, LOL0 -
Its shameful how many tickets were available as I walked up to the venue last night. One guy a block away had what looked like a deck of cards of EV tickets. For shiz and gizzles I offered a guy right out front of the box office $5 for a lodge seat and he asked for $20 at 8:35. I seen some good seats out there for way less than face.
One guy said he had a balcony seat went in early and bought like 5 posters walked out put them in his car and bought a Orch row X for $35 at like 8:20.
Word to the wise-- go with $50 bucks in pocket and if you wait until 8:30 you can probably get a good seat with beer wine money to spare.0 -
agreed with the last 4 posts..esp the spoiled NY thing..hell yea..NY made us lke this! lol...."FUCK I gota take a subway for an hour???" lol
meanwhile when my ass lived in miami all i did was bitvh and complain about how muh I missed the system here and all that..yea youre right!Glad I had to "endure" such a long mission, hahaha
and wtf..that place said CHURCH out there not united palace
UNITED CHURCH..for like 10 mins were like..no..thats not it..yea it has to be..no..yea..lmao
fuckin weird, but damn
once you get inside that plave puts the beacon to shame and thats TOUGH. SOundwise and seatwise not a bad seat in the house. My hookup got me dead center upper to mid balcony and it was great!Aah, fuck it, I’m just gonna go home, turn on the fuckin’ TV...
Watch the nightly news and drink a beer...

The issue wasnt the location. It was a combo of great seats opening up 2 days before the show and them being availble day of the show in ticketmaster. The problem lies in the fact that the show appeared sold out in 15 minutes the day of the show on ticketmaster and then opened up with the best seats in the house the day before and of etc. If they more, most, or all the tix availble on the day of sale, it would have sold out and there wouldnt have been such an influx of available tix that are better than the ones everyone already has. But nothing to do with location IMO since VERY EASY to get to. You know if all tix were on sale day of, instead of releasing Orchestra seats the day before, they would have sold out.0

ya, it's "too far uptown"! OMG!!! i'm howling about this
that uptown part i don't get, it's not that much further from midtown on the subway than Yankee Stadium. It's a 25-minute trip on the A train from midtown manhattan, not that hard. Personally I hate the subway at rush hour, so I just took the M5 bus up and got a free ride and a scenic one as it goes down riverside drive for most of the trip.Reading 2004

lol...YES! I drove 1.5 hours to Berkeley on a work night, WELL worth it! Also took a plane ride to Vancouver. I don't get how the venue could be "so" out of the way if it is only a subway ride away, but their loss! Still think it is a shame though. Come back to the West Coast Ed!0 -

it's real nice to see the scalpers take a beating
if you got shut out of the show just show up with cash...if you can play the wait game chances are you will pay less than face, in most circumstances.0 -
great. sounds like I'm going to get me some 20-30 dollar seats at the venue tonight.

I'm going to head up for more too! Don't want to rip anyone off, I'll pay face for a good seat. But I would be STOKED to pay a scalper $10 and sit in the balcony. Last night was so great, thought one would be enough but I'm so close to the venue, what am I gonna do, just sit here and not try? Duh!0

To all those thinking New Yorkers are babies and commented about my earlier post:
I too have travelled to see PJ. What I meant was, it's not a typical area where many PJ/EV fans will be wandering by to see if they can get in. Coupled with the fact that it was "sold out" and a small venue, people wouldn't have thought they had a chance to score tickets, so didn't bother. I don't think it's too far (and I never said that), I just said it's way uptown (which it is)... you all inferred the rest. C'est la vie.
I was going to head up there to try and score a ticket tonight but I just finished work and it's too late for me to get up there now (not cause it's too far but cause he'll be hitting the stage now).Glaciers melting in the dead of night and the superstars sucked into the supermassive.0 -
There were a line of 40-50 people outside for L.A. 2 that would have gladly paid face to get get in. Surprising in Nyc.0
