Agreed. But be prepared to have people lining up to tell you it ruined their weekend/Cornell sucks/Mother Love Bone was terrible/etc.

But yeah, that was the moment that gave me the biggest audible gasp that weekend.

:) Yes, I know. Me, I loved Cornell being there during the weekend. And that song by MLB... no one really expected it... it kicked ass.

Agree wholeheartedly. Blew me away. Chris Cornell is a genius. Kinda made up for PJ not playing Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns

Some people just like to complain about anything it seems, so whatever, it really was awesome and a permit fit in my opinion, I have even acquired a greater fondness for Chris since then which was the primary reason I went to see him at Carnegie Hall last November. I feel closer to him; like he really gets PJ and understands their relationship with us fans. It's like he's a coloborator but also a big fan of the guys as well. I was always a Soundgarden fan but after Alpine my love for his voice and just overall talent went to the next level. Such a cool cool dude!!!!!!

    Without a doubt...
Stardog was one of the highlights of PJ20, in my opinion!

  • I loved the TOTD songs.

But it definitely took away from PJ's time on Night 1. I wanted to hear Ed singing Pearl Jam.

So, I have to admit I had that reaction on Night 2, not Night 1. On Night 2, I was like, why is he on stage again, it was cool the first night but I came to see Pearl Jam, bla bla bla, whine whine whine.

But then, I saw the PJ20 movie and the Andy Wood documentary and then I saw him live solo again. I definitely had a newfound appreciation for Chris Cornell after all those experiences. I never realized what a good guy he is and how much he probably helped PJ those early years. He's also experienced so much loss in his life and gone through so much shit, and to see him the way he is now (happy, sounding the best he's ever had and doing what he loves) is just so fantastic. He can crash any PJ show I'm at any day :mrgreen:

Wasn't there but when I heard about this I shit a brick, I'm sure it alone will be worth the price of the bootleg
  • Suz, I LOVE Chris as much as the next. I LOVE Soundgarden,Audioslave, and him solo.

I LOVEDDDDDDDD ALLLTHE TOTD stuff at PJ20. But.. my love, and passion is and always will be Pearl Jam.

I felt that way the second night, I said "If they played such a short set last night, why fill it with TOTD? They played longer night 2, but STILL took away from PJ's set.

Im grateful, trust me...but I wish songs like Crown of Thorns and I got shit weren't left off in place of Hungerstrike again, or even Public Image....

And so damn hot :lol: I actually liked when he did Scream acoustic and I respect him for taking a risk. Not into the electronic sound for Chris though.

Man, thanks for starting the thread, I just went back to look for the video again and now I'm all happy again :mrgreen::mrgreen:
