Learning the Uke after Uke Songs

I received a Uke for Christmas and have been eager to learn Ukulele Song tunes. I am a beginner uke player and am looking for some easy Uke song. Im not really into playing songs like twinkle twinkle because they bore me. i'm looking for something a little more stimulating, but easy enough to learn.

Pearl Jam/EV related is def a bonus.

    I think the best thing to do is just get a chord chart and look on the TAB sites for PJ chord songs. You should be able to find a few like Small Town that only have a few chords.

    There's a website called Uke Hunt which has a few EV songs, one of which is Longing To Belong. It's a piece of piss to play! :)

    I too received a Uke from my brother after I casually stated in a phone conversatation "..but you know, since I got EV Ukele Songs and I got the Uke 101 and the music, if I had a uke I would be motivated to learn to play."

    well I got to put my strumming where my mouth is. I got one in the mail shortly after the holiday.

    get you're strumming down. do you play everyday? you need too. my arm is sore from trying to strum evenly. I try to play Your True, seems kindof easy based on the opening tabs.

    that strummin is what is the trick tho. even and boisterous. you can youtube for videos and learn to play stuff. there are some good lesson videos for both the uke and guitar.

    i think ed would say, just sit down, start strummin and let the uke do the talking.

    Videogames is a nice easy song to learn on the Uke...but then if you hate Lana as most people I talk to seem to you may want to skip that one... :D

    I learn't and played 'Longing To Belong' to my wife at our wedding reception...
    I had a broken finger from my Buck's party, and the Uke was a little bit out of tune because of the heat.. but she cried and loved it...

    Rise is a doddle on the Uke, I started with guitar and been playing for 24 years, picked up a cheap little soprano Uke 18 months ago and found so easy to play and loads of fun. Uke Hunt is a good start, but if you know the chords to a song just learn a few chord shapes and you're away, Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead is funky.
