    i once knew someone who was in school for a PHD in some obscure psych subject yet was a barista. She ALWAYS judged people are being beneath her bc they weren't as educated as she was.

    My sister has a PhD in Colonial American history, and she always claimed to be the only "doctor" in the family. She used to give me crap about going to a state university.

    A PhD is all fine and dandy, but if all she can do is spout facts about pilgrim doctors while someone is having a heart attack, I don't think she is doing much "doctoring".

    My wife is a pediatrician, but I have been nice, and haven't mentioned to my sister how we now have a real doctor in the family!

    (no offense to any PhDs in the house!)
