saw this pic floating around on the Roo FB page...legit? idk...but the answer to the first Roo Clue (if you follow on twitter) is mos def Mogwai & they're on this image:
"Earlier this month Bonnaroo clue master Gary Chardonnay tweeted the first lineup clue. ”Rooclue 1: Good or evil? Canton-bound. Ascension linked to versions of the Sabbath.” The Inforoo community feel they’ve solved the riddle as Scottish post-rock band Mogwai because their name means “devil” or “evil spirit” in Cantonese and their first hit was a cover of Sweet Leaf. Look for the next clue tomorrow."
i cant wait til next week...hope i didnt spoil it for everybody if its all tru (and even if it is - how mad can you really be

Anything is possible but that's not a reason to go to Bonnaroo... I went in 08 but I like Metallica, Lesh, Claypool, seeing Jack Johnson and BB King was a treat... Chris Rock... Mastadon was there... environment was great... food and beer were expensive... it's really worth ging to if you can handle it.
It was a great time but if you don't like outdoors hot hot hot hot hot HOT (did I say hot?) dry weather.... you will be fucked. Thank god we met some couple from Oregon with an air conditioned RV to hang in aside from sleeping in our tent. All worth it though... IF you dig this type of shit. It;'s the ultimate grueler... so to speak and probably spelled incorrectly.0 -
If this really is the line-up, I will be EXTREMELY tempted to somehow go!!!"Sometimes you find yourself having to put all your faith in no faith."

that's fake. there are misspellings on that list and some people are in other places the dates of the festival.
i guarantee phish and radiohead are there. which is stellar as they are 2 of my 3 favorite bands, which makes Roo a definite for me anyway.
it would be entirely too good to be true if EV was there, so I doubt he will be.
regardless, if you ever thought about going, i recommend it, have been several times - it's definitely a great time for music lovers. it is rather hot though."If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." KV Jr.0 -
Bonnaroo 08 was one of the best times of my life.
Buttttttttt..the line up would have to be my dream fest because it was hot and humid as hell and since I am older, gen pop is NOT for me and VIP makes it wicked flippin expensive.
Hangout Fest has a great line up ....wish I could attend that, but funds are holding me back from a lot this year :xThank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!0 -
How killer would an Ed set be if it precedes Neil Young & Crazy Horse headlining Bonnaroo?
Some folks think it's plausible...

That is fake
Someone contacted someone who works with the Diamond Rugs, this is going to be such an awesome records, on another board and they said they knew nothing about them playing Bonnaroo. Plus I'd think they put out something nicer then that. I bet a lot of those bands do play it though.0 -
Ya, that line up is fake but I think EV is possible this year. The Jazz Fest gig confirms that he is open to playing fests. Good news. I have my fingers crossed for him being at Roo.Chicago 6/29/98 - Nashville 8/17/00 - Cleveland 4/25/03- Chicago 6/18/03
Chicago 5/16/06 - Milwaukee 6/30/06 - Bonnaroo 6/14/08 - Milwaukee (EV)8/19/08
Chicago 8/23/09 - St. Louis 5/4/10 - East Troy 9/3/11 - East Troy 9/4/11
Minor League Park 7/19/13 - Milwaukee 10-20-14 - Bonnaroo 6/11/16
Minor League Park 8/20/16 - Minor League Park 8/22/16
Minor League Park 8/18/18 - Minor League Park 8/20/18 - Los Angeles 4/16/200 -
The PJ tour starts June 20 in England. Bonnaroo is the weekend of the 8th. I presume the band will be rehearsing and getting their shit together for the tour. Though a one off solo gig that weekend during all this at Bonnaroo seems plausible. Brendan O'Brian lives and has a studio in Atlanta, which is not too far from Manchester. Perhaps the band is hanging out there prepping/recording before the tour... I sure hope this is what's happening.0

Radiohead, Phish & Chili Peppers will def. be there0

It would be interesting. I was there in 2008 as well and I am not sure how Ed would be positioned.... would it be a side stage?
If this is the line up..... I am all in!0 -
He would be the which stage closer on Sunday ,like the Strokes last year. Perfect sunset spot for Ed. Although the Memphis show May 1st isn't good news for him coming to Bonnaroo.0

Coming on here to say the same thing about the Memphis show. I also agree that Which sunset show with Eddie any of the three nights would be amazing. I saw John Prine sunset on That right before Stevie Wonder and then Jay Z. It was the perfect beginning to an amazing night.0 -

Definitely some bands I'd like to see, but just not enough to get me to spend that type of money to go to bonnaroo. Hopefully next year...0
