I love lists like this. I should add this to the yearly section of the app at some point. I find what they DIDN'T play almost as interesting as what they did...

After seeing Tremor Christ at my first show in '95, I keep missing it by one night the next 16 years. I'm lucky in having seen many of my deeply emotional favs played, once -- talk about catching a bolt of lightning! But many of my fav fun songs go unanswered -- fer instance, I can't wait to hear Deep. Keep hoping for it, and WHAMO, hello Garden! But then I'm sitting there pleading for Light Years, WOOT RATS!

Regardless, Eddie is a master at setlists -- and has been said many a times, he seems to wholly embody the ethos that on any night, some folks are seeing their very first show, and some are seeing their last.

I'd be made up with a setlist mostly containing No Code, Binaural and Riot Act but I would imagine I'd be in the minority.

My favourite gig was London '07 when they dropped the main songs and played alot of rarities. As much as I love Even Flow, Alive, RVM, Small Town, Betterman etc I'd prefer to have the likes of Sleight Of Hand, In My Tree, Red Mosquito, Half Full, Help Help and some Lost Dogs just for one night!

I caught that London-Wembley Arena 6-18-07 show and was so blown away. His setlist choice that night was awesome and I had a ton of fun hearing this lineup/sequence of songs:

    Set 1
    Long Road
    Severed Hand
    Grievance
    Comatose
    Given To Fly
    Low Light
    I Got Id
    Faithfull
    Green Disease
    Marker In The Sand
    Immortality
    Down
    Present Tense
    State Of Love And Trust
    Why Go
    Save You
    Porch
    Encore 1
    Inside Job
    Parachutes
    Crazy Mary
    Do The Evolution
    Alive
    Encore 2
    No More
    Bu$hleaguer
    World Wide Suicide
    Rockin' In The Free World
    Indifference

Who's with me? I mean, is that not a great kick-ass, different-than-normal show? I left the rough pits drenched in sweat and was walking on air. One of my best nights ever!

Sometimes songs are played rarely because they are just not good songs! LOL

Other times some of their best songs in my opinion are kept from the rotation to be saved for special occasions and significant performances.

Why is that? I feel like most of the songs we call our favorite's aren't the most popular choices to play live...

Was wondering that myself. They try to please the casual fan, and play a lot of stuff that diehards like ourselves could do without hearing again and again. That being said, they have some songs I'd really love to hear that they almost never play and I wonder why, songs like Of the Girl and All or None. I'd rather hear All or None as a closer than YL all the time, and OTG as an opener would be brilliant.

I was wondering why they played In Hiding only one time in 2011! It is a fan favorite...always rated under the Top10 of their catalogue and my personal no. 1! After listening to the Curitiba boot i was thinking that Ed might have problems with the chorus part nowadays...could be wrong though.

Well I have been to 5 shows in the last 5 years (4 in Aus and 1 in Buenes Aires) and I have caught Garden (twice) Immortality and Off he Goes (twice). So just luck of the draw I guess.

I would love to see Long Road, Thumbing my Way and Crown of Thorns .....and 37 others that are on my wishlist! :)
