Not sure if this has been posted already, but I love Burr.

Although I (obviously) love PJ, I also didn't like Ten. I've loved everything they've done since but still find Ten to be overproduced, over-anthemic, and too geared for radio play. I realize I'm in the minority with that one, but IMO they got so much better after the first album. I did like Nirvana and a lot of the other non hair metal that was coming out at the time, but Ten seemed closer to hair metal than it did punk. Again, just my opinion and they have more than made up for it since then.

Anyway, Burr has some interesting and hilarious comments, as usual.

It didn't really sound like either, and look what trying to sound more punk has got them. It's not really a strength of theirs.

I don't listen to him for his views on music. Best stand-up comedian out there.

I would hope not because he knocked Pearl Jam's music and said Eddie Vedder is a fake. Then said Whitesnake was great

That dude is a music moron

I dunno...Sure Whitesnake sucks, but some of EV's mannerisms were a little over the top in the early days.

Like Eddie has said, he felt like he was being let out of a cage. I've never seen an artist more real than Eddie Vedder.

Point taken, but Spin the Black Circle? That's a straight up classic. But yeah, I don't think of punk or hair metal when I think of Pearl Jam; they're kind of the epitome of a rock band. But hey, it's all music so who really needs categories? Good music is good music. And I love some of PJ's rawer sounding material -- I think it's one of their strengths for sure. They're the rare band whose rawest tunes are as good as their most mellow songs and vice versa.

On a separate note, good to see some fellow Burr fans on here. "Get out of the pool!" :D
