I Usually go ouutside the pj library when that happens.0

Sad or Alone. Then Black.0
-
Sleight of Hand, Footspteps, Hold On...
I'd suggest going a different way and listen to some upbeat songs to help.
In Hiding, In My Tree, MFC, Dissident ...0 -
the sound of alcohol rushing down my throat followed by the sound of my lighter & a faint crispy burning noise.
just sayin'If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?0 -

PJ - Uke Songs seems dead on. I'll usually listen to the Bridge shows or Benaroya when I'm down (a lot lately)
outside of PJ, try some Glen Hansard and, when you feel angrier, try Local H's 12 Angry Months.Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

I'm contemplating some of the sadder stuff to make it ok that i'm crying..I like the instrumental idea
as for the more rocking n raging perhaps some live nye at the limelight hmmmmm
and as for the alcohol perhaps i should go find some faithful to drink to these tunes...*If I had known then what I know now*

Nobody does broken hearted and pissed like Marianne Faithfull.
Why'd you do what you did?0 -
Listen to Beck 'Sea Change'. Beck wrote it just after he broke up with his girlfriend or wife at the time.0

A bottle of wine.... some piano instrumental music, followed by that heavier/angrier shit. You'll feel better! The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols0

how about, Broken Heart??"Can't buy what I want because it's free..."0

First the sad stuff to cry my eyes out (Black, acoustic Everlong-Foo, Say Hello 2 Heaven-TOTD, Sweet Euphoria-CC), then the loud stuff to block out negative thoughts in my head (Once, Cochise-Audioslave, Bulls on Parade-Rage, Wasting Light-Foo), then on to more happy stuff (Nothing but a Good Time-Poison, The Fixer, Throw Your Arms Around Me).
And after THAT, I'll put on a DVD, maybe Seven World's Collide (that's my current favourite). LOVE I See RedOr Immagine In Cornice (alltime favourite).

Not sure if I should contribute or not... I hope all is well. How about some Buffalo Tom "Big Red Letter Day", The Grays "Ro Sham Bo", R.E.M. "Around the Sun", or R.E.M. "New Adventures in Hi-Fi"? Or maybe Silverchair "Diorama"...Glorified version of a pelican0

To each their own but I would suggest listening to other bands to get the sad out.. After those emotions have left the building (and they will all in good time) throw on some Johnny Cash.... And when your ready crank up the PJ, you'll be inspired all over again....1998 Dallas (7/5) 2006 San Fran (7/15,7/16) 2009 San Fran (8/28) 2010 Bristow (5/13) NY (5/21) 2011 Alpine Valley (9/3,9/4)

As somebody else said on here...Glen Hansard.
PJ comes shortly after, when it's time to just say, "Hey motherfucker...fuck you....you dumb fuck."0 -
Here's a thought peachykeen. I love making mix CDs and I'm sure I'm not the only one. If you want, PM me your shipping address and I'll mail you a mix. I won't tell you what's on it, it will be a surprise!
Only if you want to, of course0 -
