  • I've only been to one, but it was really good. Everything from Uke to electric guitar etc. I really loved it! Hope I get fan club tix for Vegas this time around LOL.
  • Imagine the greatest moment of your life thus far, then multiply that by 20, then divide it by 2, then take that number and multiply it by a gazillion, and that's what it's going to be like.

    Hope this helps.

a lot more intimate than a pj show. quieter and more "artsey" if thats a word? well worth going assuming you enjoyed his solo work - he doesnt play all pj songs ;)

Very intimate; Ed talks a lot more and is charming as always. And I love that it's Glen Hansard opening again, make sure you see him. I love the songs they do together too.

Don't go expecting PJ and you'll have a blast. Not that one is better than the other, they are just different.

One of the best things is Ed has a strict no camera policy. I realized recently part of why I enjoyed the Ed shows so much was I was focusing 100% on Ed. Not on my camera or getting mad at others' with their cameras in my line of sight.

Pretty freakin' sweet. Definitely different than a PJ show, but awesome none the less. But at the same time, the PJ songs can be some of the best moments. The sing along to Small Town at the show I was at was one of the best moments of any show I have ever been to.

  • Dont forget his wicked dry-humour. He could do a night of stand-up - sans music - and I would still pay to see it.

Doesnt enjoy anyone "stealing the silence" either.

It is an amazing night. In my old age (37 lol) and after 20 + PJ shows and 4 EV shows... I actually prefer the EdVed shows. You get PJ songs, covers and his solo stuff.

    It is AH-may-ZING!

Get there early to get yo' merch/posters (I missed half of Glen because the merch table was a clusterfluff)

Don't want to really compare it to 'church' but in those movies where they show everybody singing along, clapping, having an awesome time? That's what it's like...you 'feel' it...

fuck I wanna go to Vegas...

I was not sure what I would get last year in Long Beach -- LOVED it. Very different and while I certainly prefer to see the whole band 'rock it' the show was pretty friggin' craptacular from start to finish. (Especially since he brought Mike up on stage to do YL with him!)
My wife stunned me after by telling me that she preferred the solo show to the 2-3 times she has seen PJ live, but not me!
The love he receives is the love that is saved
  • Check out the DVD after seeing the show.

Wouldn't you rather pop your Vedder-cherry in person?

NJ was one of the best shows I have ever been to in my life. It was absolutely magical.

But I went to three EV shows and they were all different. NJ just surpassed the other two by leaps and bounds. Hard to explain how I felt when I walked out that night.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
