what is the typical age to start hitting it?

the woman and i have found....it's just easier to go to dinner at 4 than to deal with the crowds at 7.

we actually do the opposite, if we go out, it will be a late dinner, like 8 or 9. Restaraunts around here are crazy busy, even on weeknights. Nothing here is worth waiting for a table.

are you talking about Old country Buffet? Would you like a colonoscopy with your liver and onions dinner? I need to see some ID for you to get your "Senior Discount'

We tried going to teh buffet (casino) at 4pm...but all the old 'lunch food' was still there-blech.

The town I live in some places don't open till 5pm for dinner. They close at 2 after lunch.

We typically go to dinner around 5-6...the dinner rush is 6-8.

81 don't do buffets....

just in general, grabbing dinner early. like last sat, we did a little shopping and dinked around...and had dinner around 4. place had a few people but was generally dead. we have been there at night and had to wait. i hate waiting.

If we go to a chain like Outback or Cheesecake factory on the weekend we get there before 5. Usually no wait.

HELEN: (glancing at her watch) Oh, right, let's go. Jerry, let's go, it's time
to eat. We're going to dinner.

Jerry wanders into the room. He's in a t-shirt and sweatpants, and holding a
comic book he's been reading.

JERRY: (confused) Dinner? W..What time is it?

HELEN: (pulling on a coat) It's four-thirty.

JERRY: (bewildered) Four-thirty? Who eats dinner at four-thirty?

MORTY: By the time we sit down, it'll be quarter to five.

JERRY: I don't understand why we have to eat now.

HELEN: We gotta catch the early-bird. It's only between four-thirty and six.

MORTY: Yeah. They give you a tenderloin, a salad and a baked potato, for
four-ninety-five. You know what that cost you after six?

JERRY: Can't we eat at a decent hour? I'll treat, okay?

HELEN: You're not buying us dinner.

JERRY: (emphatic) I'm not force-feeding myself a steak at four-thirty to save a
coupla bucks, I'll tell you that!

HELEN: Alright, (sitting on the couch) we'll wait. (pointedly) But it's unheard
of.

the best part of working 5 am to 130 pm...dinner at 4 for the e.b.s. with the oldies

there really arent many specials at the places i go but it is interesting when my wife and i are the youngest in the restaurant by at least 30 years

I am still in my 20s, but we hit the early bird special from time to time. Generally, we do eat later at night. However, if we skip lunch, an early dinner and saving a little money isn't a bad deal.

Same here...I can't even think about dinner until at least 7:00...but then I'm a night owl!

I don't eat dinner before 6:30. It's unheard of. I know that if I go out to dinner during the "rush hour" it's guaranteed to be fresher than going early. But that's just me.

last time we ate during 'rush hour' the waitstaff forgot about our meal, and when they gave it to us it was cold. :x they got a 10% tip-no, I'm not afraid of stiffing on a tip if they give me bad service.

I don't blame you. I'm not afraid to leave a shitty tip for shitty service. I guess I just never had that experience with cold food during the rush hour.
