Soundgarden show in Sydney tonight - Matt Cameron a busy boy

Just home from an amazing soundgarden show in Sydney. Thought i would share that Chris Cornell said tonight that they would be realising a new album and coming back to Australia later this year. I was happy and sad all at once.... what does this mean for Matt and possible pearl jam tours...?!

    I think Matt can combine being in Pearl Jam and Soundgarden and he has already stated PJ is his 'day job'. Neither tour for more than 3 -4 weeks at a time.

    Was in center mosh for the whole night, I didn't hear him say this year though did he?

    I remember the new album mention just not the coming back part

    It's probably just something he would say for a big cheer... I don't think bands usually tour the same market twice in a year especially bands that share a drummer with another big band. It's like Eddie says on a lot of the bootlegs... "see you next year" and it's in some place they don't play again for 6 years or something! :D

    i seen them the next day at big day out (couldnt afford sideshow aswell :() but soundgarden played the most amazing set and it was bliss seeing matt ripping up the drums in a whole different way to the way he does with pj! and then during the middle of there set the said that they will be coming back and doing a headlining tour after the release of there next album, chris also said this in a recent interview aswell so hopefully i will be be able to witness the awesome power of soundgarden twice in a year!!!!!
