Have no idea what this really means ... none the less, I found it interesting when I read it the other day ...

Despite the lack of a commercial single release, the song managed to reach number 37 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.

  • I think it is a very underrated PJ song, it is one of my favorites. Al though I find it interesting that it got up that high because I never really remembered hearing it on the radio much.

Yea I saw that too. They've had songs reached the charts that were never officially released as singles back then. Like Better Man for example.

    one of my favorite songs.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

I understand that the song was written after Ed got sick from a bad tuna sandwich. Sorry he got sick, but am really thankful that we got this awesome song out of the deal. :)
It's nice to be nice to the nice.

I love this song too... I never expected them to play it live last Spring... Shit I caught my b/f who isn't a die hard like I am singing it in the car one day. Last week I misplaced my No Code cd and I was freaking out but I found it... in Yield. Happy moment ;)

We need another No Code. We have two well processed, straightforward albums in a row (which is fine).
  • I love it's southern rock-esque sound. I love the way mikes solos come in. and the little falsetto thing eddie does on the second time he says "i was bitten"

I looooove Red Mosquito :) And they played it at my first PJ gig, in Berlin in 1996. There's even a video :Dhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wv2PGM4qu0s

It's been a long time ... Maybe we get to hear it in a week?

This song has grown on me SO MUCH over the past 15 years... never thought much of it in '96, but I just get more and more into it as time goes by... probably one of my favorite PJ songs ever at this point. And I've only been lucky to hear it at one of my 20 shows!
