Ed's Lyrics

Sometimes it's easy to just get lost in the music of Pearl Jam being that it's sooooo good, and not really fully comprehending the level of genius that Ed has with his lyric writing. I often find myself reading the lyrics like a poem and just being blown away by how deep and visual they can be. Sometimes this is because I have forgotten how deep they were or othertimes I may never have fully understood the song or a certain way of viewing it until years later. This band has the power to do that to people.
Pearl Jam you rock! Ed your are amazing!
That is all!

I love the lyrics too.
The only other band's lyrics that I read like poetry are Tool's.
Edit: Well, read frequently anyway.0 -
There's something brilliant in almost every song. He's a master. This show, another show, a show here and a show there.0

Amen to that! Ed's lyrics are the primary thing I like about this band. They just move my soul. I was in high school when PJ first hit the scene and I absolutely loved them. The raw energy so perfectly expressed my teen angst or whatever. But then I got older and started to listen more carefully to the lyrics and I realized that the songs I loved were even better than I had ever realized! They're so meaningful to me on such a deeper level now, and I consider that to be one of the perks of growing up. Thanks, Ed!

Wouldn't you love to be able to sit down for a few drinks with Ed and talk to him about his song lyrics? I'd pay big bucks for that at a charity auction!0

+1 Have you seen the relationship to Lateralus and the Fibonacchi sequence. It is on Youtube.
Anyway, back to Pearl Jam. Ed's lyrics was what got me hooked to Pearl Jam in the first place...and than the music followed a long while after.0
