Tulsa Anyone?

Hey guys. I have a few questions and I apologize if this has already been addressed. Are the Fan Club tickets being scattered throughout the venue like on the last tour? Is there anything in Tulsa to do other than see the EV show and is driving around Tulsa easy or is traffic crazy (like I assume it is in Dallas)? My husband thinks this will be the middle of no where and is opposing going to this show. Lastly, I live in Tornado Alley and Tulsa in Arpil sounds like a bad idea to me (I have had homes all around mine destroyed by tornados). Since I travel with my family, this is a safety concern for me and I try looking at all possibilities. I'm trying to make up my mind about what to do. Anyway, helpful advice is always appreciated.

Hi! Yes, fan club tickets are being scattered throughotu the venue like last tour. I've never been Tulsa so I can't answer your other questions but I'm sure the traffic is nowhere as bad as it is here.2003: San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Seattle; 2005: Monterrey; 2006: Chicago 1 & 2, Grand Rapids, Cleveland, Detroit; 2008: West Palm Beach, Tampa; 2009: Austin, LA 3 & 4, San Diego; 2010: Kansas City, St. Louis, Columbus, Indianapolis; 2011: PJ20 1 & 2; 2012: Missoula; 2013: Dallas, Oklahoma City, Seattle; 2014: Tulsa; 2016: Columbia, New York City 1 & 2; 2018: London, Seattle 1 & 2; 2021: Ohana; 2022: Oklahoma City0 -
the traffic isn't bad there (i've had to drive through there several times) & it's a pretty easy city to navigate. you're right about the tornado season, though. all i can say is that there's no way to predict the weather. if you go & the weather turns bad, the show will be cancelled (i imagine) & they'd either reschedule or refund your money. it's a decent little city, though. where are you driving from? Dallas? if so, just jump on 75 North & it'll take you straight there.I LOVE MUSIC.

My husband and I both grew up in Tulsa, although we live in Kansas City now. There are many things to do in Tulsa, depending on your interests. Check out the official site: http://visittulsa.com/index
As for weather, as someone else said, you can't control it. It is rare for a huge tornado to take a direct hit on Tulsa, but you could experience tornado watches, heavy rain and thunderstorms in April. I wouldn't let it keep me from the show. I'm originally from Tulsa and I still live nearby. Anytime my wife and I want to go out, it usually involves a short trip into Tulsa. Traffic can be awful at times due to all of the construction going on right now, but if you avoid rush hour you should be okay. The town is laid out in an easy to navigate grid, but downtown(right where you're going to be to see EV) can be tricky due to all the one-way streets. There is a fair amount to do in and around town. I hardly ever gamble, but the Riverwind Casino is a cool place to go. There are lots of cool restaurants and bars in Brookside (http://brooksidetheplacetobe.com/) and Woodland Hills Mall is fairly good sized if you enjoy shopping. Check out the Philbrook art museum too if you get the chance. It's an oil tycoons mansion turned art museum (http://philbrook.org/.)
Edit: use google images to check out the Philbrook museum. The website doesn't really seem to do it justice.* Oklahoma City Ford Center - Apr 03, 2003

I live in Tulsa, born and raised. I know Oklahoma has the reputation of being in the middle of nowhere, but it really isnt bad. In addition to the Philbrook Museum for the family, Tulsa now has an riverwalk area and an aquarium, as well as a fun Air and Space museum near the airport. Our zoo has been rated pretty high. Also, we love to eat. There are tons of places to eat on Brookside and near Woodland Hills Mall or along the river. As far as the weather.... no different than Arkansas.
Traffic can be frustrating because of construction, but Tulsa is very easy to navigate. Our public transportation is non existent so you will have to have a vehicle.
Everyone who visits Tulsa cant stop talking about the people. Everyone here is super friendly and will take good care of you.
We just built a big arena and have been getting all the big names. in fact, our arena is in the top 5 in ticket sales each year.
Come to Tulsa, get used to it... because PJ will likely come here later this year!0 -

I would also add: Cherry Street, Utica Square, Bluedome District, and the Brady Arts District as places to checkout as well.
I hope your right about PJ, the BOK Center has brought Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled as well as Van Halen. I'm sure I missing a other big names...0 -

Stone Gossard was here with Brad last year - they played the Caines Ballroom. Maybe Stone mentioned it and Eddie booked a show...0
