and with the key to our sanctuary in the green yard
a drunken mess
i have dropped and lost

this
my every disaster
you at home waiting up for me
my stumbling here i come
you reading late this night
i see light

on

then lost
i don't know but rambling
the grass and crickets keeping company
to me is this
my friends down here
with the need of a tailor

torn clothes and the fence gate
these are the wires
that rip me apart
you are not this

and you do not hear their song
nor me
as i haven't a sound
but only to dwell in chirping
