UPDATED: just noticed this has already been discussed. I'm still pumped I may only have to drive 8 miles to see him vice another state like normal.

yeah i'd rather see a PJ show in philly rather than a solo tour (no offense) since he came last year and PJ hasn't played here since the spectrum

It's probably quite frustrating indeed but other areas have suffered droughts in the past,(Europe 2000 - 06 for example). I think a PJ tour in the US is certainly out the window for now but after they take a break from the Euro dates I'm pretty positive something will be coming your way. I personally don't think they are avoiding the US as such, it's probably more to do with their age, family responsibilities etc and because of those reasons they only tour in short bursts the way they have since 2007. I think they probably think the current setup is a fairer way for everyone. 2007 was Lolla and Europe, 2008 was US South/East, 2009 touched Europe, Canada and some US West Coast and the Philly shows as well as Aus/NZ, 2010 in US and Europe, 2011 Alpine, Canada and S. America and now this year Europe get first shout so surely the most logical step next is US in the Fall and back Down Under in 2013. When you take any solo projects into account you have a very busy bunch of guys in huge demand with only so much time to please everyone. If the South get Ed solo it's probably about time and if the band choose to return there it would also be long overdue. I certainly think the long tours of the past in the US or anywhere stopped after the 2006 tour and will never return.
