FUCK. slim chance of seeing that in CAMDEN...
I love me some Long Road as an opener as well. I've seen them 3 times, and LR was the opener for 2 of them.
As far as tonight's show, our YFC member Gracie was there. I bet she loved it.Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?0 -

It sucks being drunk on a Monday night but thats what happens when you drink an ENTIRE bottle of red wine with dinner. fucking BYOB resturants, at least it is "cheaper" then paying $45 bucks for a bottle of wine at the resturant.0 -

yea. all this "dating" shit is driving me nuts though. you actually have to plan things out and act like you care about going to Art Museums and BYOB restuarants.
But I guess you need to put some effort into it to get something in return0 -

Bubba/TG/Chrom- I got the Storytellers email.
TG- I don't even know Stacey, or barely anyone else here for that matter, so therefore highly doubt I have a spot to be blown. Thanks anyway.
VW- I'm waiting on my 2 sentences as well.0 -

*Monday Night drunken song review*
ALL THOSE YESTERDAYS which was realeased on the YIELD album was written by Eddie after he went to a friend's wedding. He was watching his friend walk down the aisle when suddenly the lyrics hit him like a ton of bricks.
He was thinking back to all those nights drinking with his friend back when he was single and not a boring married guy. when they would go out to bars, get ripped up and shit faced at the bar, stumble home @ 3am then go to WAWA for some late night grub.
He wanted to tell the friend that there is "still time to escape" you don't have to get married. But not wanting to ruin his friend's big day he decided to write the song instead.
the key lyrics are as follows:
You've got time. You've got time to escape.
There's still time. It's no crime to escape.
It's no crime to escape.
There's still time so escape. It's no crime, crime...
All those yesterdays.0 -

you buy a girl dinner a couple of times, act like you care, pretend you listen to her stories and you get laid as often as you like.0 -

Ok. I just entered the "contest".
(I feel like this is an episode of Seinfeld to determine who is "Master of their Domain"..)
Anyway. here was my 2 sentence entry:
"I am PhillyPJ one of the Founding Fathers of the YIELD Fan club. I am also a big fan of VH1 Storytellers, please invite me, pretty please!!!"
Hopefully I win. I will keep you posted. stay tuned.
ps. That was not my real "contest" entry. But I did mention YIELD in my actual 2 sentence response.0 -
One day closer and I'm even more excited.
That email last night was cool but I'm tucking it away in the back of my mind.
I responded right away. It was easy because the thoughts I transcribed always exist and there was little thinking involved.
My realities are the two Camden shows this weekend, Washington DC, and the final two shows of the leg in East Rutherford!
I have a Pearl Jam fans dream week ahead of me...
If I get lucky beyond my wildest dreams and win a spot at the Storytellers show...I can't even imagine it.
I put my Hartford show on rest and have been listening to pure Blue again. This is such an incredible album.
I really want to see this whole album live.
Army Reserve is like Sleight of Hand for me.
Comatose is this album's Spin the Black Circle.
All of these songs are just excellent.
Damn, I just can't believe how amazing this band is.
There are only two more shows now that stand between us and the Camden shows, Philadelphia's shows, our shows...two shows and only four more days.

The weather reporting is so ridiculous.
By Thursday they'll be predicting a monsoon and come Saturday the sun will be out in a clear blue sky.

Art Museums? BYOB restaurants? That's so Brokeback. Dude did you get a vasectomy or something? Dude if she makes you watch "How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days" - RUN!
Mornin' yellas. I will be in your city very soon.
Also, I thought the way they presented Kiss on "Heavy: The History of Metal" was absolute shit. They focused on the merchandiscing shit way too heavily. Not one mention that only the Beatles have more gold records; last I heard, records have music on them. vH1 has always shown Kiss very favorably and this was no exception, but it was a shit segment.Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?0 -
