In the meantime the rumors are spreading.

Eddie Vedder in concert to Milan to July 2012?
Of Onstage
12 thursdays January
Eddie Vedder
After the news of the roman concerts of Eddie Vedder, (26 and 27 July to the Auditorium of Rome) like announced from fan-situated the Italian of the Pearl Jam, Pearljamonline.it, the musical site Rockol had spoken about others two dates to the Arcimboldi Theatre of Milan. We have made of the searches and it turns out to us that the presence of Eddie to July in Italy is nearly sure and that, regarding Milan, the location of the exhibition will not be the Arcimboldi Theatre but the widest Civic Arena. A lot probably the frontman of the Pearl Jam will be one of the names in the billboard of Milan Jazzin' Festival. My PJ shows:

I've just googled the Arena Civica and it looks more like a small stadium, I can't see Ed playing solo here as it would be out of kilter with the venues he's played so far as a solo artist. Is this the same place Soundgarden are playing? My PJ shows:

No, it's not the same place but I agree with you, the Arena Civica is bigger than the usual places in which Eddie plays.
But Eddie is very popular in Italy as a solo artist. The ITW album reached no.1 in the italian charts when it came out and Ukulele songs also sold very well. Getting tickets is going to be tough, even with a bigger place.
I don't even want to think what is going to happen if the Rome show is confirmed, considering that 16 years have passed since the last time PJ played here and the Rome venue is smaller.Roma

16 years ago was thare, my first PJ show Roma - Palaeur in 1996.
And as far for the tickets, it will be hard off course, but one thing I learn in Italy is that you can find ticket for every sold out show....if you know what I meanCAN'T KEEP CRAZY MARY IN MY TREE NO WAY NOT FOR YOU.
