I attended PJ 20 by taking a 13 hour car ride with three total strangers I met here on pearljam.com. We were all strangers to one another. How fuckin' cool is that ... No one knew anyone

Because of an addiction known as pearlcessive jambulsive disorder I get to tour the world following a band I love with all my being....as part of this life long trip I got to meet a Saint from Greece....hes gives us things....he posts us things....he makes us smile....hail hail the lucky ones....hail hail dimi.

Surely I’m not the only person who has done this. Maybe the only one willing to admit it.. HAHA!!

In 2006, I had planned a trip to Europe to coincide with the PJ tour... starting in Portugal, hitting Madrid, Marseille, doing some sight-seeing on the Italian Riviera (Cinque Terre), then joining the tour in Bologna again, and ending with Verona. Then, unfortunately (or fortunately), I got a contract a month before the trip, and had to cancel the trip. But the airfare was non-refundable, so I took Friday off, left Thursday night for Verona, got there and settled in my hotel by 10pm Friday night, and wandered down to the Arena where all the restaurants were... There, I found about 50 people I knew in the PJ community which I had met from 2000 onward. This is what PJ means to me... the wonderful PJ community! We closed all the bars and then some, and woke up in time for the fan club ticket pick up the next day. Since that show was my friend's 250th show, I had requested Immortality for her through the Ten Club, which they said they couldn't do... As we were waiting for the tickets, the soundcheck began, and to my delight, first Ed played Immortality, then the whole band did, even though they didn't play it at the show. Coincidence? Don't know, but when my friend picked up her tickets, the whole band had signed the envelope! It started pouring down rain, and we waited in a restaurant in the square until after the opening band went on... vendors were selling colorful rain ponchos, which many bought. When we got into the venue, there was a long delay, and rumors that the band wasn't going to play, but every single person there stood in that rain, with their colorful ponchos on, and eventually the band came out and the magic began. The audience was sooo beautiful in their colors, like a sea of balloons! PJ were giving it their all, and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen! Magic. Next day, got on a plane home... it was well worth it.

Here's a quick PJ story...Going to PJ20 in WI was the best decision I ever made.

Tell me that's not the PJ20 Klausen I stood in line for over an hour for that you're giving away! Just kidding 8-)

That's not what I wanted to post :P I wanted to ask if I shd get a new pair of Cons for ppl to sign at the Euro 2012 shows I'll be attending? Do I really wanna become "sign-my-shoes" girl? :roll:
