Amazing song. Been a big G Love fan for a long, long time. Got a pick from him at ACL in 2004. And over the last year or so, the Avett Brothers have become my favorite band alongside PJ. Cannot get enough of them.
Just finished the Avett's 'When I Drink' and now it's 'The Ballad of Love & Hate' - great way to start the day"Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them." - Thoreau

I need to get more into G. Love, any recommendations on where to start? And can't say enough good things about the Avett Brothers, they just kick ass! If you haven't already seen them live, I more than highly recommend it. Really high energy, fantastic show! Saw them last year at a festival called Mountain Jam and they blew me away!capthowdy1027 wrote:Foo Fighters - I Should Have Known

Lemonade is my favorite G Love album. With him it just depends on your taste. If you like his funky, upbeat stuff, there's plenty to choose from. But he also has a lot of stuff more in tune with Fixin' To Die. One of my favorite songs of his is Beautiful, done with Tristan Prettyman. YouTube it - I can't get it at work. The guy is incredibly talented and diverse with his music. He's a lot of fun to see live too. Booty Call is a classic.
I've seen the Avett Brothers twice and, as you said, they put on one hell of a show. They are my favorite band right now. I'm just starting to explore their entire catalog. It's so expansive and I can count on one hand the songs I've come across so far that I don't really like - and they have TONS of material out there. Brilliant lyrics, very talented musicians, and they nail the dying art of harmonizing.
