Unthought Known from MSG 5/21/10 just came on the iPod and boy does this version fucking rock.

    I'll take the EV Solo show in Newark at the NJPAC. Was the night after he wrote it and was amazing to hear it in it's raw form. I'll take that version over any other.

    Alpine 2011 Night 2. They did something different mics. It was amazing.

    I agree, I think the piano part completes the song, and Boom is usually inaudible in the live versions, probably due to two-three guitars playing the same thing at once.

    I hear LBC more than Wishlist, but I definitely see where your comin from.

    I do agree that the studio version is best b/c the parts mash together live, but if I had to rank them I'd say they're all tied for last.

    Both versions are fantastic (may be partial as I was there), but I'd have to agree with the OP on night 2, slightly edges out night 1's version for me.

    Damn, what a moment that was at the Garden. That version of Unthought (night 2) is when the song really hit me hard and resonated strongly with me, a powerful moment I won't forget!

    Personal bias would be LA in 09, Night 1 I think. This is probably the best Backspacer song live.
