Adults should stop and listen to children because they don't have the bitterness greed and hatred modern society produces for us adults.
What she has to say is brilliant and I have also agreed with this kind of kindness for our future or we are done.

When you're a child/kid everything is black and white.
When you're an adult with more knowledge/experience everything becomes grey...
Kids always have the best visions...0 -

I hate to bring up his name here - but Jon Bon Jovi recently opened a very nice restaurant (it's fairly upscale - not a dive) in NJ with this same principle - you don't have to pay - you either give what you can monitarily - or - work off your "debt" - wash dishes, clean, sweep, ect.
If we could just solve the "who the hell is paying for this" issue - this type of society would work - 'cause in the end - the restaurant is losing money (you can only sweep the floor so often - or - wash that dish so often) - doing so doesn't re-stock the fridge - and luckily donations and Jon are footing the bill.Your Disciples Are Riddled With Metaphors.

But you see the point is that children don't worry about the details of HOW it's going to work. That is the fear money based beliefs adults have. I have not doubt that doing this kind of good, brings about miracles. We always focus on 'WE ARE LOSING MONEY' we have missed the point. Jon Bon Jovi probably does not care if it is losing money. It was not meant to make MONEY. It was meant to help the needy. But mostly to bring awareness to random acts of kindness.
It's about being kind and believe me, there is plenty of money in this world and people like football players, basketball, doctors, ceo's, movie stars, rap artists etc...are all over payed! It's a shift of mind, one has to have faith that by doing good good comes back to us and money is not the reason we are here. It is the reason for war and why so many people are suffering.
Again, get out of the mind of an adult. We are too ego based and fearful and ignorant to what real giving means. I think it's about perspective..just change your mind. Don't go for the money! Go for the good for all and them we are all rewarded. I don't know why some people don't get that.0 -

Plus your basically relying on a rich/wealthy person to provide the services/jobs until he runs out of money/store closes and then what?
This sounds cool, but in your example your still relying on someone to provide you with a good/service and a choice of how to obtain the good. After a while, more desperate people will go there to get a (Free) meal, and do a couple of odd jobs (dishes/buss)to work it off, this will cause the service to go down, servers won't make any money (tips) because people won't have money to pay them. People willing to pay for their food won't go anymore because the service sucks and its no longer an upscale restuarant.0 -

Why do you think you have to tell kids not to take candy from strangers???
Take money out of the equation and you will still have the same human traits of greed, selfishness, power, etc...
Its not money, its evolution, survival of the fittest...0 -

AGAIN THE POINT IS MISSED. The child is not being logical and practical and worried, she is thinking from her heart not her head! Did you miss that part? And to push an idea aside because we adults think it's too impossible need to open their hearts because adults run this world now and things don't look so good. Is adult reasoning working????? NO.
Only an adult would say something negative about this child's dream.. :  We do not believe these things are possible. Adults have forgotten. A negative response to this video is just plain small minded and frankly comes from a spoiled adults attitude that expect the world to wipe their ass. Upscale restaurant? What does that have to do with starving humans? sigh...wth?0 -
I bet that 6 year old would put a beatdown on you if you took her American Girl doll!!!!
But it was a cute video.hippiemom = goodness0 -

There is a reason everybody wishes they were kids again...
Ignorance is bliss...
I did not say anything negative about the video or the child, just your ignorance of assuming that reality can work like this.0 -

I have met a lot of people in my life....
Who should quit acting like 6 year olds....
And should try acting like adults......
6 year olds believe in Santa Claus...
6 year olds have no concept of responsibilty....

A question for you?
WHO TOLD CHILDREN SANTA EXISTS? WE DID!
WHO INVENTED BLACK FRIDAY? WE DID?
WHO TELLS OUR CHILDREN WHAT TO THINK AND HOW TO BE AND HOW TO LIVE? The media/adults.
If you have kids then well, eek but hey, if you believe children are stupid, then who is to blame for the way the world is suffering now? Adults! duh
Dr. Suess wrote the book The Lorax. Maybe you should pick it up and throw down your egotistical control and think that we have to change. "if someone like you does not care a whole awful lot, then nothings going to change, it's not."
NOTHING CHANGES WHEN NOTHING CHANGES. :shock:0 -
p.s.
In kind gifting is not a new concept. Hippies do it all the time..poor people use to do it..if you have no money and you need food or shelter or medical care, in the days before TV people gave back with what they had to offer. Doctors use to live on farms and take chickens as payment for services rendered.
Our culture is killing us and we don't even care or notice because we have been brainwashed by the greedy and the rich.

Since when was trading goods and services called "in kind gifting". How can you gift something when you are giving it because of some goods/service you received?hippiemom = goodness0 -
It's a nice message but it would have to rely on those that receive giving back at some point in time in order for the system to work.
Also, when I was six I wanted to play for Bob Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers. Sometime around the age 13, reality set in.Be Excellent To Each OtherParty On, Dudes!0 -
It's called TRADING.
Hmmmm?
I hope the shit does not hit the fan and a big solar flare comes and takes out electricity for a year....there are some people who will never make it. They just don't get it. Thining the herd sounds pretty good right now.
Just watch the movie Idiocracy that is a great example of what happens when the smart stop breeding the ignorant and stupid control the world. How's that workin for you now?
Reminds me of Pulp Fiction. At the end when Samuel L. Jackson says his little speech to the so called "bad guy"..0 -
