I agree. Are these made for every album are what I would love to know? Very nice find and enjoy!0 -
Those look to be pretty scarce and rare and maybe one of a kind. Hang on to them until you know more. Pretty cool though. Where did your friend find them?? Do you know??Let's see those 2013 dates in the southern states.0

wow those look greatit's largely due to eddie that i liked to jump off of things as a child...0

Shot in the dark speculation here.....someone commented that this was before massive internet coverage of everything so perhaps these books were put together FOR THE BAND as sort of a single go to source of the coverage they were getting? Like I said, just a guess, but it would be pretty cool if you were holding, for example, Stone's personal copy.0

Its probably something put together by a publicist or media company for the label or band to give them an idea of what is being written in different markets. If you look closely they all have the name of the paper, the town, whether its a daily or weekly, and the circulation stamped on it. As someone else said, this was probably how it was Done before google was the answer to everything.

They sure are.
Back in Junior High & High School I used to cut out magazine articles of anything Pearl Jam and put them in photo book albums. Anything I could find @ my local library & newsstand. I have 5 full books fully stacked with wicked stuff from '91 - '96.
But this is all '96 No Code. 2 huge books worth.
Black & white in a custom made book.

i did notice this on the last article.....for those super sleuths.....0 -
Whoa!
Would it be possible to scan every page & share that gem via .pdf file? :angel:0 -

I wonder what these are called by the people that know something about them. The guy above said promoters books or something like that.
If we know the actually name can you google them. wonder how many are made for each band and artist, and are the two that you have are they different or the same?0 -
the two that i have are clearly part of the same set as they are labeled "Book One" and "Book Two".
There is no indication as to who made them or how many copies were made.
I did find the shipping label on one of the articles that i posted in this thread for the clipping service i am assuming was used to compile all these articles.
the back story in my friend acquiring the books is quite hazy but the words "friend of a friend and record company" kept popping up....
jives with what others were saying in this thread...
still, anyone with any concrete info would be greatly appreciated.0 -
Wo..wooo..WOWOW
