Since you are both from the Park Ridge/EP area, did you ever shop at or work at Thompon's Finer Foods in Park Ridge? It was on the corner of Cumberland and Touhy I worked there while in college.
Nope, we shopped at Happy Foods on NW HwyWe used to go to Bailey's all the time over there but it's gone now. Boo!
The area has certainly changed. I hardly recognize downtown Park Ridge anymore.I lost a bet...0 -

We Dont even have a record store... :-(
I'm from Freeport, too! There used to be a record store downtown. No more?
Yeah, It was Ear Wax Records, but they closed a few years ago, coudln't compete with the big markets, and there was not a huge demand for vinyl at the time. Seems like a small store can only compete if they specialize in Vinyl.
