thoughts and prayers....

i usually don't do this but i am asking my fellow PJ fans for your thoughts and prayers. my older sister was in a horrific car accident Wednesday. her SUV went off the side of the road and it flipped 3-6 times down a 70 ft hill. she was ejected from the vehicle and thrown 35 ft. her three young children (6,7,9) were all in the car but by some miracle or whatever you want to call it they are completely fine. but unfortunately my sister is in the ICU with a shattered pelvis, two broken legs, and a severely broken neck. she was brought in with a massive brain bleed but they did emergency surgery and stopped it. they thought with almost absolute certainty that she would be paralyzed but yesterday morning when they backed off of the anesthesia she started to move her fingers and toes. we are in no way out of the woods but things are positive. i don't know why i am doing this but i am just kinda feeling lost right now. besides family and close friends the PJ community has always treated me well. thank you guys and thank you PJ for your music helping me through this tough time.

    i'm not religious at all but i cant explain how the kids survived. I run a tow truck company and i saw the car and there is no way anyone should of survived that crash. thanks for all the well wishes guys

    Sorry to hear about such a terrible accident. Try to focus on the bright side, even if it's hard to believe right now that there even is a bright side. The children are fine and your sister also seems to be better than anyone could have expected given the circumstances. Call it a miracle, a guardian angel or just pure luck, things could be much worse. But they are not and that's all that matters now.
    I hope everything's gonna be fine. I wish you and your family all the best!

    my mom got into a car accident about 13 years ago and broke her neck as well. they told her she would be paralyzed but the only thing she has is a numb finger and a cold hand. not perfect but it beats being paralyzed! there's still hope, doctors can be wrong. sending love and hope to you and your family
