Yes, definitely stoked about Bdubs. Do you find it a little funny that there is a need to have police direct traffic in and out of Portillo's (on Golf) at lunchtime?!?

 People gotta have their Portillo's fix! Once that Bdubs opens, we seriously need to get as many of us NW suburban peeps out there for some drinks one night!

Yes, that would be great. While, my friends tolerate my PJ obsession, they just don't get it, so it would be great to hang out with some people that "get it"...:lol:

It is a great area, but I had to get out...kept on running into people I grew up with and that gets old, you know?

 My family has practically disowned me, my mom's probably the biggest Bears fan I know. Honestly though, I've been to plenty of games at Soldier Field and was raised to hate the Packers. My hubby (who was always a Packer fan) took me to Lambeau in 2004 and I instantly fell in love. The whole experience is like nothing else in the world. Haven't looked back since!

I hear ya w/ running into people constantly in EP. I mostly grew up in Park Ridge, so theres always a lot of familiar faces over there.

Oh no!!!!! You're a traitor!! This may need to be discussed in the sports fan fraud thread!!

Since you are both from the Park Ridge/EP area, did you ever shop at or work at Thompon's Finer Foods in Park Ridge? It was on the corner of Cumberland and Touhy I worked there while in college.

I do remember Thompson's....3-4 blocks away from my parents house. It closed down not too long after I moved to Park Ridge....mid to late 90s I think. There's a Walgreens there now.

I Just went to Toad Hall over there Last Saturday, Still no PJ 20 Vinyl there, but some Leftovers from RSD Black Friday were there... Managed to get the Nirvana Singles Set and the Soundgarden 10" I Did order a copy of PJ 20 from Reckless Records in Chicago... So I have one copy.. but the records broke through the sleeve in shipping..

I love toad hall. The folks that run the place are super nice, and I could spend days (or weeks!) exploring that place ... So much vinyl!

All of you around Buffalo Grove should check out the Sam Ash there.
The store manager is the hugest PJ fan. They play PJ constantly there and
he built a huge PJ20 display the week before the Alpine shows.

    Thanks for the tip!

I usually go to the Lombard location, but it sounds like the Buffalo Grove one might be worth the drive.
