Any suggestions on where to stay in Manchester? Somewhere safe, not too cheap, not too expensive?

Stayed in the Hilton last time... think was about £150 but they do deals on paying in advance. Not far from the venue and all you'd expect in a new Hilton. Beer not cheap but that is a city centre for you.14.10.2000 Houston, 09.09.2006 Marseilles, 11.09.2006 Paris, 18.06.2007 London, 17.08.2009 Manchester, 18.08.2009 London, 22.06.2010 Dublin, 23.06.2010 Belfast, 25.06.2010 London0

Manchester Central or Manchester Central Arena Travelodges were from 19 quid a room if you got in there early enough. i have a feeling they'll be quite a bit more than that now...Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?0
