Getting a ukulele for christmas

Here is what is on my christmas list in terms of getting a uke and learning how to play, etc.

    I would go with a tenor uke over a concert but that's just me.

    if you're a guitar player, tenor size is probably best, just for fret space. gig bag's ok, but get a hard case. if you have kids or pets you'll be glad you did. lanikai, ohana, kala, mainland all offer great quality intro level ukes. if you have a music store nearby to where you live, take some time and play some different ones before you buy. having good strings on your uke is key too.
    blow off the instruction booklet and just go to these guys -
    http://ukuleleunderground.com/ - there are hundreds of free lessons - beginner lessons, to specific song tutorials, music theory, blues - all that shit. aldrine is a really good teacher and a great player.
    also - http://ukulelehunt.com/ - more uke stuff. great tabs and chords.
    i hope you get one. super addictive. pj music translates over really well, fun to play along.
