But everyone that thinks this new system will definitely get them tickets to NYC, Philly, or Boston is in for a rude awakening. The high demand shows are still going to be hard tickets to get.

true. and you may have to wait in a "virtual line" just like you have to do w/ ticketmaster.

either way, it's a step in the right direction!

I agree, it's good to see that they are trying to get this right. There are a number of details which show they have thought this through carefully imo. I hope for everyone it's a smoother experience - fingers crossed!

I was happy to see that they teamed up with CrowdSurge. I've bought tickets from them before and it was a fairly pleasant experience.

  • CrowdSurge is fairly new to the game. It's only a few years old. It started up in 2008. It seems that the approach they have is to compliment what music artists and there fans both desire. I know that the band takes great time and effort to find suitable business resources that will serve them and the fans well. It's important that the band finds viable means that compliments there business ideals.

I hope that it's all better for you folks. I have watched people display concern and lodge complaints quite a bit for awhile now and more so nowadays regarding getting tickets.

Are you talking about CrowdSurge complaints or complaints about PJ ticketing?

I agree, kudos to them for trying a different approach. Hopefully it works out well for all of you going for Europe tickets. My PJF5 shirt might not see the light of day again if they get this fixed

Is there a way to pre-enter credit card info? I didn't see it, only billing address...

And for folks who have used this before... once it's in your cart do you "have" it or is there risk of losing tickets?

Having spent a frustrating 10 minutes trying to order Black Keys tickets through Ticketmaster _ the public sale started at 11 a.m. today _ I can say I am looking forward to anything that makes this process work better, wherever I'm ordering from.

    Ticketmaster experience:

11:00 logged in. Looked for "best available" and was offered section 137. Looked at the map, tried to figure out where it was, couldn't find the "continue" button because my screen configuration caused it to require scrolling. Timed out.

Redirected back to starting point. Offered section 137 again, but further back. Found "continue" and clicked. Brought to reg page, entered my username and password. Got an "oops" error message, redirected back to starting point.

Offered section 105. Clicked "continue" and got another "oops." Back to the starting point.

Offered Loge, didn't even look to see exactly where since I was now panicked. Clicked "continue," got credit card screen, entered all of it, then finally got confirmation notice.

Oh, and the cost is $125 for the pair. Base price was $47 each, plus $2.50 facility charge and _ wait for it _ $13.25 for "convenience charge." Per ticket.

    Yikes.

There has to be a better way...

I think they stay in there for 15 minutes..which is why I'm wondering if the whole multiple oders thing will be fast enough, or if I should just buy them all one at a time.

Didn't find anything to pre-enter credit card details either.
