So not everybody loves Pearl Jam? WTF. Interesting read IMO that I randomly came across yesterday. It still befuddles me that ther are so many haters out there.

I found it kinda funny actually.
It is interesting in that they all agree on saying (at best) that they're a boring band and the movie is worthless yet they all watch it and come back to say they hate it, even in a rather detailed fashion for some. I especially like the one who's saying that's it's boring but they'll spend their next lunchbreaks watching it

If you are looking for a live music DVD, then PJ20 is good for you. If you are looking for a documentary where you learn something meaningful about the band you didn't know (or at least the band's perspective on it), then PJ20 is not good for you.

I can see why others might not like the PJ20 doc, but wow, those folks in that forum were miserable.
Many of those posts strike me as the type of group who loves a cheesy reality show - simply enjoying the berating of other people to make themselves feel better.
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

Right! I thing the original poster totally set the tone. Everyone else just acted like sheep.

I skimmed thru their forum...they seem to like Rainbow, Hum and The Cows. (those are bands BTW)

They didn't seem to like Metallica (most would rather be 'tortured by PJ' than Metallica)

Nobody had anything nice to say except for "not crap"...they are a recording studio...maybe they got turned down by PJ before and that's why they are hating?

It's only 3 pages, plus a lot of them are responding and saying the same old stuff over and over again. So basically it's like 5 people in a circle all talking about how they hate Pearl Jam and everyone in the band. Meanwhile, we're going to concerts and having a blast...

  • I don't think they're ar off concerning much of the documentary. It's not that good.

It was an entartaining read, and I could see people get those opinions. Myself being a fan, I don't agree.

But tried to watch the documentary here with some friends who enjoy the bands music - we couldn't get through it cuz people found it boring.
