Dodgers looking to lock up Kershaw long term. Hoping some of these Yankees kids turn out well since it's getting harder and harder to find pitching on the market.

    Pujols?
  • Manny Ramirez applied for reinstatement. Does he really think anyone will be dumb enough to sign him? Between his 2nd failed test (3rd, counting the penalty-free "anonymous" testing in 2003) and his domestic violence arrest, this hasn't exactly been a banner year for the guy's reputation. When you add in his total lack of defense and his willingness to quit on his team when he's not happy I can't imagine a GM who values his job trying to convince his team's owners and fans that he's a good signing--even if it was to a non-guaranteed minor league deal with a Spring Training invite.

Supposedly, his suspension will be reduced to 50 games because he sat out all of last season. I can't understand why MLB would reduce his suspension. He's the one who ran away when he got caught cheating again, why reward him by cutting his suspension?

it's a shame he got in just a few days after the one-yr anniversary of his death but his family can rejoice.

actually ... i'm not a fan of the top tier FA's ... i never think you can get the ROI on them unless you are a big market, money is no object team ... which the jays are not ...

i'm hoping for a little ... marcum for lawrie magic ... we need another starter and a closer ... i'm ok starting the season with our current crop of bats ...

Really? I am suprised. I think I would sign Fielder over Pujols given the age and money though.

i like AA's quote tho ... he said something to the effect that if you hear it's a rumour - it's probably not true but if you hear that a deal is near done ... it's probably true ...

Very happy he got in, but quite sad he won't get to experience it.

Yeah, that is a very random report. That's a good point. There are so many rumors out that on a daily basis.

Anytime after their season ends, which was extended because of the earthquake, but is over now. The shortstop has already been posted. Who knows on Darvish. There was reports after the winter meetings, then his dad said Jan.
