i disagree ... playoff hockey is the best thing going ... especially with the parity in the nhl - i don't have a problem with that many teams making the playoffs as they all have a shot ... sometimes the difference between 4th place and 10th is like 6 pts ...
as long as the teams making the playoffs have a legitimate shot - i'm all for more teams ...0 -

Apparantly Darvish is getting a divorce and that's why the posting has been held up. They want to settle based on his salary last year and not the $50+ mil he is about to make. There's a chance he may stay in Japan if they can't settle.0

Cubs getting involved for Fielder and Pujols. CJ Wilson sounds like he will sign at the winter meetings. Should be a fun few weeks.0

The Royals signed Broxton to a 1-year deal pending a physical. I'm assuming he won't be closing.0

Seems strange. Royals have some flexibility with Soria now, I guess.0 -
I haven't seen the terms yet but I'm guessing that it's a cheap deal so they aren't risking much and he's getting a chance to show that he's healthy and no longer stinks and can get back to his 2009 form. If he can, he'll be a good trade chip at the deadline or a good replacement for Soria if he falls into any slumps like he did at times last year.Cliffy6745 wrote:Monster Rain wrote:The Royals signed Broxton to a 1-year deal pending a physical. broxton is a really good move for KC. I think they might surpirse some people next year. Gordon is better, Hosmer is a beast...who knows, they might play .500 ball?Post edited by davidtrios on0

$4 million deal with an extra $1 in incentives, so not all that cheap for a reliever. That was exactly Broxton's mind set from what I have read, get a one year deal, prove yourself again and cash in.0 -
Mariners going after Fielder. Not gonna happen but pretty interesting.0
