    I don't understand Selig's desire to push this move down everyone's throats. I read today that they told Crane that the sale wouldn't be approved unless he agreed to the move. So now the owner and fans are stuck with a move they didn't want and baseball has interleague games every day. I wouldn't be surprised if MLB expands to and additional team in each league withing the next 5-6 years and splits the leagues into either 4 divisions of 4 teams each or 2 8-team divisions with a Wild Card from each division. This will, of course, make the Astros and their fans even angrier since expanding in the AL without moving the Astros would have the same result. I figure it'll take a few years for MLB to realize that interleague play every day just doesn't work well and then they'll have to expand in order to give each league an even number of teams to fix the mess this move will cause.

    I certainly hope you're wrong about expansion....it wasn't so long ago they were talking contraction. we don't need any more teams. and interleague sucks....they like to give credit to Bud for this "innovation"....I give him blame.

    fuck this. i certainly have mixed emotions about it....the only positives (in my mind) are that the TX/HOU rivalry will be cool & that we're moving to the Pac NW, so we'll get to see the Astros play. but still....they are an NL team. this is bullshit.

    I kinda like the idea. The plan is to give all the division teams the same schedule. The way interleague is set up now is awful, but I think alot of people's problems is the out of balance schedule. I guess the new way won't make it totally fair, but it should be closer right?

    I get if you're an Astros fan bein upset about the switch, but it's not like they're movin the Cards or Dodgers.
