Eddie Vedder Christmas Album!
In light of the Pearl Jam gospel album thread below, it had the wheels in my brain turning. What would fit neatly in a musical catalog that includes a folksy film soundtrack, an album of ukelele songs, and an assortment of soundtrack songs? I don't know how Eddie feels about Christmas and the holidays, but I would absolutely love for him to do a Christmas album. Eddie can not only do his own ukelele and acoustic renditions on Christmas classics, but he's shown the ability that he can write his own good Christmas tunes (Let Me Sleep; 4th "I wish" line in Wishlist). I don't think you have to be religious to enjoy the holidays. I would consider myself agnostic, but the holidays are my favorite time of years, for the values that it stands for, like sharing and showing goodwill onto others.
Come on, Scott Weiland has a Christmas Album (No Joke http://www.amazon.com/Most-Wonderful-Ti ... 634&sr=8-1). Eddie, you could make one that people actually like!

No idea if this thread is a piss take, but I'd actually be all for it
I'm also completely agnostic but love the festive season for lots of reasons. EV's already shown in the past he can write a great christmas song, I think Let Me Sleep is sad, haunting and beautiful. Think I'd prefer it if they were all new creations, but hey I don't mind a few classic covers as well.

Gospel albums, Christmas albums. . . WTF? Sounds like a band on its last legs with nothing new coming through and IMO is absolute bull shit. This is an exceptionally talented rock band who can do many things. There's a brand new album coming out next year too. Leave the pantomime stuff for the other jokers out there

True, though I guess I'm in that small crowd of fan's that would love to hear an Ed or Pearl Jam Christmas Album. Would be great to hear doing the holiday's, Christmas parties, dinner feast, where the relatives who just want to hear Christmas songs around the table or in the living room who won't say anything about stop playing all the Pearl Jam!! Least now they can't say anything cause it's all Christmas songs & stuff. :P0 -

My thoughts exactly.
I'm sorry but a Pearl Jam/EV Xmas album? A way to turn the band into a joke.2000: Manchester

I've wanted this for years... I love Christmas and holiday music
I spin Lost Dogs with my Christmas tunes because Let Me Sleep It's Christmastime
is my favorite Christmas song of all timeIt's lovely
Would love to hear Ed do some traditional light hearted seasonal songs
like 'Baby Its Cold Outside'that would warm me right up

I don't think Eddie is in the phase of his career yet when a Christmas album would be appropriate but the day may come. I like the James Taylor Christmas album and could see Eddie doing something like that.___________________________________________

I hate voicing my opinion/thought on this kind of topic but I have to.... I have to agree that I don't think it's a very good idea at all for them to put out a Gospel or Christmas album. It would be kinda of weird seeing a "Merry PJ Christmas" album up for sell... no?
I think that PJ should stick to what they've been doing for the past 20 years since clearly it's been working pretty damn good for them so far!The thing I like most about time is that it's not real. It's all in the head. Sure, it's a useful trick to use if you want to meet someone at a specific place in the universe and have tea or coffee- but that's all it is- a trick. There is no such thing as the past. It exists only in the memory. There is no such thing as the future. It exists only in our imagination. If our watches were truly accurate, the only thing they would ever say is "Now". That's what time it is. It's "Now". - Damien Echols0 -
