Getting my lyrics added to my tattoo this coming Thursday. However, i have whittled what i want down to 2...

1. Oh, and do I deserve to be?
Is that the question? And if so, if so, who answers, who answers?

    It would help to know the personal meaning of these lyrics to you since they will be tattooed to you, not to us :)

    I prefer #2, but I am not sure about the whole 3 lines of it. Especially repeating the "what ya' giving" part twice. Why do that?

    It is from an Ames Tour poster!

    My previous PJ tattoo has 2 lines of Black going between the stickmans hands!

    I am thinking about putting the lyrics above with the title of the song at the bottom of the tattoo.

    Well, sorry to sound like an asshole but can I say neither?

    I just don't think (of ALL Ed's lyrics) that those are particularly "tattoo worthy".

    The repetition of "who answers" and "what ya giving" will look a little silly.

    Also, why include the name of the song? You don't even have the name of the band! I think not naming the band is cool but you kill it by naming the song.

    Unless you have some personal thing that makes those lyrics special, they don't really make any sense with the picture of the tat you posted. I don't get it. I'm sorry.

    Do you want people to stick to either #1 and #2, or are you open to other suggestions? I'm not liking either one, but I don't want to mess you up if you've already gone through the process of narrowing down.. :D

    I can appreciate you saying neither, It's a free world mate and everyone it entitled to their opinion(s)! I just want a couple of lines of PJ lyrics so that it will even it up with the 2 lines of lyrics which are on my other leg. I will welcome suggestions but it is my leg it is going on not yours. ;) The PJ tattoo on my other leg doesn't have the song title on it or the bands name either, that is not a dig btw.

    Even though my favourite song changes on a daily basis, Release is pretty much the recurring favourite, so I'd go for:
    I'll ride the wave
    Where it takes me

    I also like plain ole State of Love and Trust

    And 3rd choice from Severed Hand:
    Like a tear in all we know
    Once dissolved, we are free to grow

    I'm sure I will change my mind tomorrow (that's why I don't have tattoos :mrgreen: ). So, I don't quite like the two you picked because of the repeating words, the questions and the informality of "What ya giving".

    Good luck picking! I think you'll know when you have the right one. If nothing screams out to you, I'd wait till you get that feeling that that is "the one".

    Ah! Now I can see there's a symmetry thing going on there. Ok, that makes more sense. I honestly wasn't trying to be a dick. I like the tat you have. Think it looks pretty cool. Just didn't understand the full picture and I don't like to give opinions about tattoo ideas willy-nilly. Good luck with it!
