yup and the more yards i get passing the closer i am to scoring. the more i score the better chance of winning. so to recap...harder to stop passing game, you gain more yards per passing (and a lot more per completed pass), score more points passing.

let me repeat, top 3 rushers in the league their teams are a combined 7-16...coincidence??

That's great and all, but aren't we going for ball control here with a subpar defense? The only time you pass more than 60% of the time is when you get down by at least 3 touchdowns, like the Cowboys last night. Other than that, you need an even balance.

Romo has always put up big numbers, but he is NOT going to be effective without a solid running game. The Boys have proved that. Same goes for most teams.

4-10 rushers all play for teams with a winning record, though. Hell, Tate and Foster are 9 and 10 with over 1,000 yards combined AND have a 5-3 record.

Yea, he won me the game (hopefully). Rearviewmirrors season is still alive!

I come back to the thread a month later and people are still arguing about Andy Reid and pass/run ratio. Shocking. How often do they pass in the lingerie league Jeags?

i keep telling him to check out the arena league. he thinks i'm kidding but i'm dead serious.

in the soul's final game last year they threw it 36 times and ran it just 10 times. 80% passing. and---they scored 58 points! :o pjhawks would love it!

I think they can only afford 2 more losses the rest of the way even though the divison stinks

With their conference losses obviously they need this weeks game

    SB or BUST !!!

His decision making was awesome. I think i remember maybe one ball getting batted down when Celek was covered by the goal line

I wish the dude would slide more though

Dare I say I saw him audible at the line also ?

he really needed the offseason ota's and time with the coaches and stuff. this is only his first year coming in as the starting qb. so you had to kind of expect him to start off a little slow--that combined with the o line struggling. i think he's on the right track though. completion percent is even higher than last year.

this balanced attack is really helping too...who would've thought?

I was at the game and Vick beautifully threaded a few needles. He was on. I like the 3 step drop, quicker throws mentality by the offense. McCoy was looking Barryesque. No RB is playing better than Shady right now.
    Alright, alright, alright!

Are we all sucking each other's popsicles over this 3-4 team?

If they win the next 3 I think we can get kind of excited. But if they lose that Giants game it's going to be almost impossible to make the playoffs I think. Looking at 3 wins to get to the SB if they get there too.

I'm not worried about the giants at all. even if the eagles lose to them for the 2nd time they should still finish with a better record. Look at the giants schedule...then combine that with the fact that they suck.

Birds are winning this division. Reid has them back on track as usual

I very much enjoyed that game, thought they did great. But, I know better to get hopes up. With the Eagles, its not a matter of IF, but WHEN will they fail.

no. but they finally appear to look like they team they should be. they have to run the table in the division.

i think it's between them and the cowboys. the giants are not nearly as good as their record and they have a very difficult schedule the rest of the way. i think the eagles will be favored in that giants game at the meadowlands in a few weeks.

9-7 should take this division and i think they can get there...then it will be time to make some noise in the playoffs for the first time in a long time.

Yeah I hope they have turned the corner on that horrible start

The divison is so bad to have an off year and still win it is very possible

No...they need to throw more ;)

80%-90% - something like that. Need more shovel passes too.

Funny fantasy about the Eagles: Tie the Super Bowl with no time left in regulation, but go for 2 instead of extra pt and win it with one of Andy's signature shovel passes.

haha...2 excellent game plans in a row. gotta give him credit.

lesean is absolutely one of the best running backs in the game right now. coaching staff has to know that. i actually have a little faith that they will keep a decent balance all the way through to the end this year. we shall see...

birds -7 next week. thought it would be a little lower. maybe they will blow the bears out too ...then i can see them beating the cardinals by 60
