Sorry about that Jenny but we were some of the first to arrive and had a great time till 11.45 at your pre party when some were going back to hotels to rest after a day's travelling

I'd love to see PJ play outdoor shows in the UK, as long as they're not playing the festival circuit. It's just that we don't really have that many GOOD ones here. Heaton Park in Manchester (Stone Roses playing there next year...), Hyde Park (well, maybe). And factor in the good old British Summer for a rainstorm of bibical proportions!

I just feel we get the raw-end of the deal this side of the pond. Wait years for the band to play here and get a cut-down version of what's happening in the US, South America, Japan, Australia, etc.

I can't remember leaving. I just remember waking up in some hostel room with Touring Van, Touring Van missus and Touring Van housemate.

All I remember about Düsseldorf: The big chaos at the entrance and standing for hours in the rain :?. Oh and the chaos afterwards when people tried to leave by car. As much as I'd like to see more than one German non-festival show on the tour: NOT DÜSSELDORF!

And the Olympiahalle has notoriously bad accustics. Even considering that I'll live close by Munich again next year, I don't want to see them in there.

Haha, I remember seeing that petrol station across the road from the ISS Dome!

Agree about the chaos about getting a car/taxi away from the venue afterwards. A very kind American couple offered to share a cab journey with me. Sadly, their names have been committed to the pit of obvilion in my mind, but I was (and still am) very grateful. :thumbup:

I too struggled to get a taxi after that show back to my hotel. I was on my own, but managed to share with group of younger folk from england. If i remember rightly the girl i spoke to was from somewhere close to my home city.

i agree...my first ever PJ European show was not really worth the flight over (although Amsterdam the day before was interesting!

)...Berlin on my birthday a few days later totally made up for it, though and the Werchter lineup was surprisingly good!

it's kind of similar to the arena in Verona (where they played in 2000 and 2006).
