That thing kind of confuses me. Is it supposed to be which is the better band or which band has better fans?

Surprised the Grateful Dead wasn't on this list. They have the greatest fans.

Yeah, that part seems clear, but down at the bottom, it says this, basically saying vote for the band you like better, not for the better fanbase. Ah, whatever.

"Now comes the part where you, the fans, start spreading the word and VOTE VOTE VOTE!!! Here’s how it works—vote for your favorite band in the comments section below. Each vote is worth 1 point, with an extra bonus point if you put in a little effort and tell us why you’re such a huge Nirvana/Pearl Jam fan—where you first heard them, some of your favorite songs, some major life experiences that happened with their songs in the background, etc. Whatever makes you a fan, we want to hear about it!"

Yeah, that's an interesting omission. And there are some interesting choices there. The Beatles vs. Radiohead? Who the hell came up with that match-up?

    Voted, my response:

Pearl Jam all the way... I have been playing music my whole life... and I have been a Pearl Jam fan from day one... but seeing them live in 1996 for the first time, when I was 15, put them into a completely different category for what a musician should be and the passion that they should bring every night! - - I have only been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam 10 times... but there is no other experience/energy like it... you can feel it in the crowd... seeing them live truly transforms you and sets the concert going experience extremely high... I also incorporated PJ into my wedding/reception and my wife and I had our first dance to Just Breathe... Now, for the Chili Peppers, I love them too, but not to the same extent as Pearl Jam. I have seen RHCP once, on the Stadium Arcadium tour... and I loved getting to see them, but have never been in a more tightly controlled concert environment. We could not even get out of our seats/rows to dance etc... and I paid a good bit to be on the floor... I love RHCP's new album start to finish, but their music doesnt speak to me in the way that Pearl Jam's music has, does and always will. So, Pearl Jam by a long shot... with no disrespect to the Peppers!

there was an issue about the seniority in South American concerts. Someone posted a video from youtube about PJ concert in Buenos Aires back in 2005. If you have the chance, find out what the reporter says about the situation on that video, the description of the whole situation, that would be why pearl jam fans are the greatests...

Beatles vs Radiohead? That's like, carrots versus potato chips. I wouldn't even compare them!
