    My cousin had a t-shirt she bought at a show where I want to say they opened for Pat Benatar. Was a mock newspaper headline -- SCANDAL ROCKS AMERICA.

    And they did have one other song that was fairly popular (but I dunno if it was a legitimate "hit"): Goodbye to You.

    I think, though I may be mistaken, that the general consensus is that if it happened in the 80's (and the 80's includes 1979 & 1990) then by default, it is cheesy.

    Okay, let's lay down some ground rules:

    1979/1990 - CAN qualify as 80s music

    Not ALL music released between 1979-1990 is considered cheesy.

    However, most Pop music released during these years DOES qualify as cheesy.

    Of course Metallica, U2 and Bruce don't qualify as cheesy Poncier.

    But JTH brings up an excellent point, cheesy is mainly subjective and has much gray area.
